I prefer the Stones as well, but I can appreciate and enjoy some Beatles stuff. I don't think they are the be-all end-all of music because they influenced more pop. The Stones represented rock and roll and I think over time the Beatles image was thought to be more about rock than what it actually was. The Beatles were a great band if you are in to pop music, but I'm more of a rocker through the core so I side with the Stones- though I don't even know why they are compared to eachother.
I think they are compared only because both were British and happening at the same time. But that's about as far as it goes. They took different directions early with the Beatles being more lyric driven and the Stones just wanting to rock old rhythm and blues. That being said I think they were all just mediocre musicians at best.
All of them being the Beatles and the Stones collectively? I disagree.

there are two things about that cover that people don't even know 1)the flames are real and that The Boss isn't even bothered by standing in fire and 2) the flames represent the deal Bruce made with the devil to be able to write and preform such kick ass songs
