Boozer and Mehmet Okur couldn't stop Gasol.
Duncan bothers Gasol and Gasol bothers Duncan.
Kobe gets the edge on Manu,
Tony Parker gets the edge on Fisher.
Odom/Radmanovic gets the edge on Fabricio/Finley.
Lakers bench has the edge on Spurs bench.

From the comments here, it would seem people think Gasol is just some chump that will get wasted by the opposing big man, I think they'll be surprised in the next series.

The only team that concerns me is Detroit believe it or not. The Lakers don't match up well with them and won't have homecourt if and when they meet.
But I have a feeling this is our year. And this is without Bynum and Ariza, once they are back next season the only thing that can stop them will be themselves and injuries.....it could be another dynasty in Los Angeles.

In 2004 Karl Malone was almost too injured to play by the time the finals started (and didn't even play the whole series). Also that year Snaq was in "fat & out of shape" mode - Detroit ran so many high screens and pick & rolls on Snaq that he looked completely silly out there.No bad match ups? Ok Laker fan.

@ Spurs fans already dissecting a Spurs vs Lakers Conference Finals. Game 7 is going to be the hardest game for the Spurs.
To be fair, Kirilenko was shooting 16% from three point range for the playoffs before game 6 while Deron Williams was shooting 54% from three point range for the playoffs before game 6

I don't see what the big deal about Gasol is. All he does is drive for open dunks or layups when all the attention is on Kobe. Kobe does all the work while Gasol just gets easy buckets.

Because Gasol is a fantastic passer. Has a post game. Can hit a mid-ranged jumpshot. Can shoot free throws. Can block shots. He's just good and perfect in the triangle/next to Kobe.

He also said Flip Saunders is better than Larry Brown and is now an elite coach, Prince is every bit as good as Bowen is on D and is a young Robert Horry in the clutch, Amir>Bynum, Pistons Bench>Lakers Bench, beating the Sixers/Magic was much more impressive than the Lakers playoff run, etc etc. He is just running his mouth to get Laker fans pissed off. Just take it with a grain of salt.
I have no idea about the origins of this battle and I'm not going to go back and look, but I will say this. The Lakers are awesome. I'm rooting for them to win a ring this year. But, besides about 3-4 of their fans, the on this board coming from Laker trolls has been ridiculous. I've never seen such an uneducated and en led batch of in my entire life as I have seen coming from the Laker trolls. Especially that 21 Blessings guy. I don't blame anybody for trying to piss LA fans off. Most of you have been total bags the entire playoffs.
Thanks for the nice post. last thing I would ever do is troll a nice forum like this. There are plenty of smart basketball savvy people here to hang with, and tons of fun to be had. Doesn't matter who our favorite teams are, this place is about basketball. Trolls are just part of message board life, and since the Lakers have such a big fan base, more of them show up than from other teams.
