Duncan was not the problem, but I hate when you guys absolve him from everything.

I've defended him in these threads better than you homers have!

Fatigue. No run support. Bad bounces. Shots rattling out.

But the numbers and results do not lie.

This might've been his worst playoffs as a pro.
Duncan does get absolved a lot.

Duncan wasn't the problem, but at the same time, he didn't help us keep the lead

The whole team kinda just ed up. They were not sharp.

I think it's fair to say, when Duncan sucks, he still puts up stellar numbers, which proves how unique he is.

He wasn't as effective as he has been at various times in the past, but he was still a load.

He's always a joy to watch, both for his talent and his relentless compe iveness.

I'm not sure what to even tell you if you honestly believe this. Championships aren't won by a single player. If Duncan had more help on offense, teams wouldn't have been able to pack it in on him. There's a reason teams double teamed him more than ever this postseason. It's up to his teammates to make the open shots out of his passes to make them pay.

I don't think Duncan has declined very much either (he was very good in the regular season, huge against the Suns), but triple double or not, he wasn't that good tonight and this wasn't a "I haven't declined a bit" statement game from him.

He was 7-19 from the field against a guy he should dominate offensively in Gasoft, 5-10 from the line, Gasoft had 9 offensive boards (including the biggest one of the game on that tip out), Duncan's help defense on Kobe was atrocious (how many layups did he get because TD was slow to rotate?) and he disappeared offensively as the 2nd half went on.

Kobe was the one who played like a superstar tonight, not Duncan.

I'm going to have to agree with this. Tim's play after the 1st quarter REALLY dissapointed me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Poor game from our guys tonight, from top to bottom. Just a really crummy way to end the season.

    #21 forever.

Kobe asked for a reinforcement to help his quest for leading his Lakers win this yr.

It's about time for you Timmy to say your piece.

Ask for help for the next season. One major young player who can score and defend.

Duncan did great... It just makes me wonder why we're paying some of these other guys millions of dollars when they can't hit WIDE OPEN jumpshots.

First off, don't be an ass.

Second, if you can't find energy when you're about to be dethroned then I don't know what you'll ever find energy for. He had the energy, just missed VERY makeable shots, which he's been doing all season, and compounded his problem by struggling at the FT line.

I'm just very dissapointed in how flat we came out in the 2nd quarter, that quarter was where we lost the game. One of the main culprits in that quarter was Tim, he was not aggressive enough then. Or in the 4th for that matter.

We don't have 2003-2007 Tim anymore. Tim can't will us to wins anymore without substantial help. He had no such help tonight from Tony or Manu, especially Manu.

Bottom line: a lot of things went wrong in tonight's game and Tim's shooting struggles were only a part of it.

yes. Tim shot at only 42 % in the last two series and was not as dominant as by the past.

but he showed that he's still one of the best big man in the game, and for some years, and that he will make us contenders for some years again. we only need to give him some help in frontcourt. he was so alone doing something in the paint in some games.....

no for me. TP and Manu must stay, IMO.

TP almost carried us through the last minute. He wasn't rattled
