I wouldn't be thrilled, but he can score and shoot the 3. 28 years old, athletic. Probably could be had for a short term deal.

theres a reason hes been on 5 teams in his 9 year career. hes a locker room killer and a volume shooter. i would go after azibuke or vujacic first. they fit the mold of pop much better

Hes not my first option, but I wouldnt mind if we looked into him
Amen...If Spurs got no other option in free agency (as usual), then sign him up. He's good

    INTEREST IN DAVIS

Riley said the Heat has an interest in re-signing swingman Ricky Davis, who becomes a free agent July 1.

''We don't have shooters, we don't have players that have his kind of ability,'' Riley said. ``It depends on where we are financially and how we look at our future.''

Davis repeatedly has said he would like to remain with the Heat but prefers a multiyear deal.

artest might be crazy but he's not a ricky davis type idiot. i think he could be dennis rodman to tim duncan's jordan..meaning timmy and pop could reign him in.

A good player but he's just a selfish moron. Not a team player. He wouldn't survive in the Spurs system.

For all the talk we Spurs fans are doing about various Free Agents.....How come no one brings up Ricky Davis? He can score, get to the hoop, defend when he wants to and he will most likely sign cheep.

All of this may be a moot point because the chances are pretty high that Finley will resign with the Spurs. Plus, they actually want him back, so really all the talk about bringing in Finley's replacement is meaningless.

I like him, statistically he's ok...he can scores as well. If you guys about him saying no then why dont u point someone that is worse than him to pick. I hate when people just say no and got no alternatives, shut up. I know we could pick someone better than him, i still hope for CM,JR,Kelena...this one is a backup. SA almost always pick average guy from FA anyway (before Finley is a good FA before he got cold as ice)..I hope fookin CIA Pop works. If we couldnt get CM or JR than this guy is a good pick,if we could any of those two than fook this guy

Not just no, but fook no.

I'd rather see the Spurs sign one or two of their second round draft picks and/or bring somebody from overseas than waste a roster spot on a ballhog, me-first player like Davis.

Ricky could do a lot of good for the Spurs, but his defense worries me. People keep saying "Finley was a terrible defender"... Finley at least tried and he could not physically do it. Ricky has the tools to be a decent defender, he just does not do it and that bothers me. He could really help though, especially with his size and ability to pass, shoot and finish.
