From DX. Sounds like the Spurs didn't have a backup plan if you ask me. George Hill is 2nd round talent. They ed up.
    [/SIZE]
Its believeable...Hill would have made more sense with the 45 pick.

Nicolas Batum was traded by Houston to Portland in exchange for the rights to Darrell Arthur and one of Portland’s early second round picks.

Theres really no ing reason to take Hill there. I'd almost put money that the Spurs just didn't have anyone else in mind. How the ? So horrible.

Just out of curiosity, what were the responses here when the Spurs selected Tony Parker back in '01?

I guess maybe the Spurs knew this was going to happen - maybe thats why they tried to despretley get rid of the pick. They should have picked up Hendrix. .

It makes absolutely no sense why they would not have picked Mario Chalmers

    NONE WHATSOEVER
HOW COULD THEY BE SO ING STUPID

    it makes no sense

unless the FO is being paid to self destruct this entire organisation
    its a ing conspiracy

if they wanted to go PG why not chalmers

    it makes
    NO SENSE DAMMIT

The idea that Spurs didn't have a plan B after Batum is plain ridiculous. (baring Batum was plan A)

George Hill was just higher on their board than Chalmers, Donté Greene, CDR or Arthur.
It looks damn strange but we will see if they were right on their evaluations.

Ok then Hill was their plan B and thats why they were trying to unload the pick. I still think you up by not taking someone you know will be gone by 45 such as Hendrix who is a better value than Hill.

i wish holt would sale the team to an owner who doesn't spend his money on booze and would rather get younger to win then get all these old cheap players....... sure we won 4 les, but i want more, and the way we are going 07 looks like it will be the last we ever celebrate cause while everyone gets better we get older and tier
