    New depth chart:

    C Oberto , Thomas(FA), Mahinmi
    PF Duncan, Bonner, Tolliver
    SF Bowen, Udoka, Gist (R)
    SG Ginobili, Mason, Finley (FA)
    PG Parker, Hill (R), Vaughn

Finley is likely to be back based on previous statements by the FO.
    Not yet sure with Thomas.

If we go in Tolliver's direction, and I think we should, how do we move Bonner, and for what? Who do we plug in? Gist or another big? Gist at 4 and then sign a another swing like Nachbar to add a litte more offense at the wing?

Unfortunately, I'll never forget it either.....
You do great work Pistons < Spurs.

I'll miss Horry. In hindsight, it would have been better if he'd retired after the '07 le and gone out smiling. But there was no way to know how last season would unfold for him, I'm sure he thought he had a chance to possibly contribute to a repeat.

A good thing as his playing time will be reallocated to other bigs. We need players who can contribute from the start of the season thru the playoffs. Sadly, due to age and injuries, Horry no longer fit the bill.

    Perhaps Tolliver can replace Horry.

It was quite expected. Now we will see if pop will go with Bonner as shooting PF or keep him in the doghouse.

I quite expect Horry to find a team. He is cheap, smart, tough and has a lot of experience.
IMO, he will sign with Lakers. Their front court is young and quite soft. They also face some luxury tax trouble so Horry for the min could be the best solution for them.

It was not only the shot, but his 14 pts in 4th + OT.
    Agreed.

Obviously the game winning 3 will be the shot that people remember. But my favorite moment is a play that took place like a minute and a half before. He pump faked form outside as Tay tried to jump out and contest. And He just puts the ball on the floor, drives towards the hole, and had a statue of liberty type left handed dunk. He just kept flying through the air. I didn't think he was going to be able to reach the rim from where he took off from. It was an awesome play, one that will always stay with me.

    Bonner is under contract.
We can always hope for a trade. Anything is possible however unlikley.

I'm not necessarily hoping for a Bonner trade. Actually play him first.

If Horry wants to latch onto another contender - that's his decision. Somehow I can't see him going back to the Fakers after they publicly scapegoated him following their failed 2004 playoff run.

Horry doesn't strike me as wanting to play far away from Houston.

In any event, I wish Horry well. This is good expected news from RC.

Well look at it this way. If Boston and the Lakers didn't make two of the biggest trades in NBA history we could have won it all even with a banged up Manu. The Spurs were looking really good to make the finals until that ridiculous Lakers trade.

What if by some weird chance actually plays good? Should we try and trade him when his value is higher?

Only for a really good scoring swingman.

It's a long shot but Bonner might have some meaningful production this year.

I dont think its a long shot. He has shown that he is able to produce when given playing time. He was just never given playing time.

That's what I mean it's a very, very long shot, but if he does play good should we still look to trade him if his stock increases? I'd rather trade him then let him slide back into a funk like Beno used to do.

It looks better in real-time, but when you see it in slow motion, you can see just how close it comes to not staying down, and you can appreciate it all the better.

Robert Horry has had a great career. If he doesn't come back next season I wouldn't be surprised. He's earned his retirement with

Said on a summer league broadcast.

    Discuss.

Did RC say whether Robert Horry is retiring? Because I keep reading articles where Robert talks about not knowing if he'll be back next season. So maybe he is retiring.
