LOL at FOX news spinning what the Obama camp had to say about Palin.

    Obama camp says:

Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.

FOX News puts on their screen and I quote: Obama camp disses Palin on small town origin.

They just don't put that on their, one of their talking heads brings uup that "Obama may have alienated the small town folk with his remarks."

    Yep, fair and balanced.

What I don't get is just how blatant an attempt this is to attract women voters to the GOP tent. It's not like the McCain camp was scared that Alaska's whopping three electoral votes would go blue for the first time since 1964.
All the other Veep candidates had fairly big problems in one way or another - pro-choice here, Mormon there, potentially gay the other guy. Palin was the only one bringing potential strengths.

The problem is her complete inexperience may show before long. And then, some of us (me, for example), have to seriously question McCain's judgment on this. He has to admit he has a higher risk than most prez candidates to slipping away from us.

It's pretty bad. I like science and fossil records and alternative energy and progress and a healthy economy and don't want to live in a cave. You guys, you're welcome to if you want. But please don't screw up stem cell research and progress for the rest of us, mmmmkay?
and how exactly does "creation" deter any alternative energy ? healthy economy (3.3% growth last quarter) ?

I guess the "Big Bang" supports those things ?

    what progress?

I didn't see Obama's response. He's right: this is crazy.

    It's seriously crazy.

the pro lifers, that's all I gotta say.

If a man doesn't want the responsibility of raising children, I think he should be able to walk away from that. But at least with an abortion the kid doesn't have to grow up without a dad.
    You mean like Obama?

Wonder, today, if that midwestern white girl got knocked up by a foreign black guy....what are the odds that offspring would grow up to be president, rather than simply flushed down a sink?

    Irony.

Palin was the only one bringing potential strengths.
    What strengths?

She governs a state with about or just less the population of McAllen, Texas.

The fact that the spin is about how much Executive experience she has, and that word Executive will be thrown out more than a hooker in a cheap motel up and until the election, just shows that the McCain camp is full of when they try to throw any "experience" crap at Obama.

Buddy -- well, maybe strengths in that she didn't bring obvious problems, like all the others did. Attracting women is a boost, although fundie men might not like it.

She and McCain are going to look weirder and weirder as a pair.

Whether or not she believes in G-d is not important, and this is actually at the very root of what is threatening this country. There is a very scary movement in this country to strip away our democratic principles and replace them with theocratic ones. Palin and Bush are examples of this.

I believe in G-d. I am actively religious. I just don't think this should have any bearing on the policies of this country, nor do I want someone else's believes dictating policies.

I never ask for science curriculaTe-- our kids aren't learning because we give them too many crutches with the liberal idiotology and "PC" treatment - we provide excuse after excuse for failure.. " oh poor johnny is ADHD" - or -- he had a rough childhood -- this or that excuse.... then you have idiots like the ones up in Dallas who want "effort" based grading. -- no Red ink etc..etc.. That is why our children iz not learnin -- you step into the light and I am still waiting for someone to explain the big bang theory to me and fill in all of the holes.

It is. In your own little head.

You and your republican cohorts lament Obama for his experience yet you find nothing wrong with the VP McCain chooses. You accept, choose the parts you like, gloat over said parts and then plug your fingers in your ears and repeatedly say "I can't hear you."

LOL at people trying to spin her governing of a tiny town in Alaska and a state with more caribou than people as "executive experience."

The debate with Biden is gonna be AWESOME. He's gonna chew her up and spit her out.

My wife has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and forgot more today than you will ever know about life and the way it works. SHE believes God created everything. Stem Cell research is moving ahead just fine, btw. They are finding other sources of the little buggers without having to kill fetus's to do so.

You are about as knee jerk as I've seen.

MSNBC isn't an entire cable network ? ABC ? CBS ? NBC ? CNN? all of them are "fair and balanced?"

yeah you are right Fox being the 1 versus the 5+ networks pushing the left and the Messiah -- is not really apples to apples now is it?

She's a pro life feminist. She believes the s miest of the s should die. Right on.
Feminist has a negative connotation to me. But maybe I am misunderstanding the definition in this case.

I don't like it when females pit themselves against men.
Some men are good/ intelligent/ kind and some are bad/ stupid/ hateful.
But, the exact same thing is true about women.

Men are not the enemy simply because they are male.
I have seen a several women, whom called themselves feminist, act that way and I think it's ridiculous.

As I stated at the beginning of this post, I am very interested to know what this canidate means when she calls herself a feminist.
