Is there such a thing as "best conservative"??
Yeah, I read and listen to op-eds, but really, politics is not really my field. It's good to approach to it with a certain degree of humility and respect, at least toward other Americans (and non-Marxists).
But ... really, is it all that reasonable for us non-experts to be able to form informed, reasonable opinions about world politics without some help from people smarter on the issues that us? I don't, and don't try.
Considering fringe-wing punditry has never been our thing, I don't think bragging about your lemming migration towards it is a good thing.
See, rather listen to the beliefs of some insane opiate addict with a room full of "fact-checkers", we generally read newspapers and make our own inferences based on the reporting and facts they present us with. And last time I checked newspaper circulation was hovering around 50 million.

I listen to Rush regularly and I'm am not the slightest bit conservative. He's entertaining and occasionally has valid points.

You believe what others tell you to believe, you feed off the propaganda that conservative talk radio is and re state that propaganda in here.
There are about 3 Republican Posters that do that on this forum...and about 732 Democrats ones that do the exact same things only with much more frequency. In fact I cannot think of a Democrat that doesn't do it...maybe Chump.

Personally I resent the notion that my political stance is fixed....#1 I am a moderate. #2. My stance will change depending on the political climate of the US and the World...and the problems we face.
For instance...I support the government bailout of AIG and Fannie Mae and Freddi Mac, even though some consider it abject socialism.
It may seem like I lean right right now...but that's really just that I am more willing to take 3 steps to the right than I am 5 to the left....that was my choice in 2004, I don't even have to take 3 steps to the right in this election...maybe 2....while the left is now asking me to take 7 steps in their direction.
If the steps were equal I'd be more than happy to take them to the left...but they aren't equal, they haven't been equal since 2000.
And...you know, I don't consider saying, THEM THEY'RE SAVAGES, let's pull out and who gives a how many people get slaughtered, a liberal stance.
I also don't consider appeasing a liberal stance.
