Not ONE of you is man enough to admit that Sarah Palin is flat out unqualified for the position she seeks. You all KNOW deep down that she has shown very little understanding of key issues that are affecting the country today and THAT is the reason why she has been hidden from the media.
One real interview. Just one is all we have gotten so far. I don't give a how lowly you think of the VP position, John McCain is 72 and a cancer survivor. The thought of Sarah Palin becoming president is more than a pipe dream, there is a decent chance it could very well happen in the next 4-8 years should McCain get elected.
We've suffered 8 years at the hands of a President who was wholly incapable of the position he sought. To be honest, it's un-American to be so blatantly partisan that you would put America in a losing position like this just so your "team" could win.
I will just add that we're in a losing position no matter who wins. I mentioned a long time ago how these were the worst candidates on both parties, and I hate to say I was right. Better buckle up, we're in for a rough ride.
The only thing that keeps me hopeful is that there's a slight chance that whoever gets elected actually does better than W, which wouldn't be too hard to do. I'm not holding my breath though.

Because he if he was going to have a conservative on the ticket; he didn't want a strong one who would constantly be flanking him from the right. He wanted an obvious "Junior" so that his authority and his position's primacy would not be questioned. McCain is as wary of the Right Wing of the party as they are of him; he HAD to get a Right Winger; who didn't run in the traditional circles. IMO.
That's a pretty good summation, actually. I thought Huckabee made some sense (social conservative, economic populist) except that he's more charismatic than McCain and could potentially overshadow him. But now Palin's gone and done just that.

The only reason McCain has a chance in this election is because a large percentage of Americans are racists and will not vote for a black man.
