And another case...can't get enough of the stuff. I highly recommend this seasonal brew.
Back in Texas. LMAO @ calling their double IPA ruination.

What style is Octoberfest? I love Sam Adams Boston lager, but I've been very disappointed by a lot of their other brews.
Very cool. Yeah, I know (512). They are off to a great start. The construction issues are typical, nothing to fear... we'll have beer soon!
Marzen. Sweet, malty lager.
This stuff (Monteith's Golden) is so smooth and sweet it goes down like cordial:

Mmmmmmmmmm!
the GABFest was awesome. Definitely headed back next year. Bluegrass Brewery had a wormwood aged Trippel that was very interesting.
Intersting as in hallucinogenic?
After finally trying Stone IPA, I was very impressed. Strong bitterness and very drinkable with ridiculous head retention. This is probably the best smelling non-stout/porter I've ever had, and it definitely blows away the Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale. Stone IPA is certainly going to have to go in my regular rotation with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Sierra Nevada Stout. I wasn't too big a fan of IPA until this one. I'm going to try everything I can find that Stone brews.

Stone is worth a trip to San Diego all on its own... their place is awesome. I think we are getting the Smoked Porter down here now too, but I'm not sure.
Glad you enjoyed the IPA, I think it's one of the top 10 readily available brews in the US.
yeah the smoked porter is in Austin - their bitter chocolate stout was good at the GAB, but i've never seen it down here
What would be your other 9?
I'm only gonna go to Scott's bar if he has Microsoft Banners everywhere and pictures of bill gates at his most nubile.
Either that, or if he has a good stout on tap.
That Stone Ruination IPA is a madman. I wasn't as impressed with Stone's smoked porter, but the Ruination doesn't around @ 7.7% ABV.
We're getting closer to being able to get that stout for you. Check out the pic from after a long day of work today.

1) Dos Equis
2) Shiner Hefeweizen (Pyramid is a close second)
3) Freestyle Wheat
I've never really dabbled in the Sam Adams brews, but the variety alone intrigues me.
Yay or nay?
