So what is the excuse for the Pats curbstomping your team 38-14 in Week 2 last year, when you guys were at full strength?
Oh yeah, I forgot, "Spygate just came out and the Patriots were super extra motivated to win"
Fortunately sold my tickets once Brady went down, no reason to pay to see a great team play at less then full strength.
We all remember last year in the playoffs what happened between these two teams, the Patriots beat a battered Chargers team that was minus Tomlinson, Gates, and Rivers playing on a torn ACL. No one seemed to bring up the fact that all these injuries most likely affected the outcome of this game.
Fast forward to this year. If the Chargers win, I have no doubts that the Chargers will be given no credit because Tom Brady is out. The Patriots loss will be because Tom Brady is out, not because the Chargers out played them. Not because the Chargers are also dealing with injuries and overcame them, but all because of Tom Brady.
I'm pissed that Brady isn't playing because I wanted a fair match-up.
And to all those who are down on the Chargers remember this.............
They are 1 last second play, 1 bad call, and 1 yard run from being 5-0.

That really sucks because I fear Darren Sproles 100000x more than I fear you, LT.
This is San Diego's best shot at beating NE. I think the Bolts win and will win big but if they do not win....the mental scars will be there for a long time.
What does week 2 of last year have to do with any of this? No mention of the completely new coaching staff?
You fail to see the point. I already can hear the excuses before this game is played and that sucks. I bought a ticket to see Brady vs. the Chargers and I'm pissed I don't get to see that any more. It's probably better for the Chargers because they can't finish a game right now.
LOL
If LT didn't suck, they wouldn't have got their chode bloaded by the Dolphins.
oh, so that's the excuse "After having only two previous gigs, Norv still needed more time to adjust to being our head coach
"
The only excuses made right now are from you, for every loss the Chargers have ever had.
I'd love to hear the excuses when the Chargers lose this one.
I'm not getting into some re ed argument about a week 2 game of last year, but for you to just brush off an entirely new coaching staff not having an impact on a team is about as re ed as us discussing this any further.
I haven't made any excuses thus far. I realize they are injured and not playing to their potential, but that is not making excuses. I realize the loss of Merriman has had a greater impact that I had ever imagined, but that is not an excuse. There will be no excuses from me if they lose against New England. The only excuses made right now are from you, for every loss the Chargers have ever had.
I'd love to hear the excuses when the Chargers lose this one.
You won't need any excuses when the Pats lose because ESPN will cover those for you.
lol, Sage Rosenfels.
no, you haven't, just stated facts right?
all these injuries most likely affected the outcome of the this game-------where is the excuse here? I just made a simple observation. Star RB out, star TE out, QB on torn ACL, of course these thing could have never affected the outcome of 4 redzone opportunities.
They are 1 last second play, 1 bad call, and 1 yard from being 5-0-------where is the excuse in this statement? Looks like 3 facts to me.
You're a ing re and I'm looking forward to you NOT blaming this loss on the absence of Tom Brady.
damn Chargers fans are such whiny ass little es.
Hey the Patriots would have won the Super Bowl last year if Brady was fully healthy and a scrub WR didn't catch a ing football on his helmet. But I'm not making excuses.
If the Chargers were in the Colts position, they would have found a way to up that comeback.
Do I really need to dig up the comments when Spygate first came up? Do I really need to dig up last year comments from you after the Super Bowl loss? None of us have forgotten mono, none of us.
Dig up all the comments you want. You won't find any excuses.
This is the only time i will root for the Chargers thne i will return to not caring about them
Are you ing kidding me? I was just browsing all the threads you have started and have been laughing my ass off. I had forgotten that the entire forum called you a . You even said you weren't going to watch sports anymore because you just couldn't take any more heartbreak.

How is this not making excuses for the Pats cheating? You bolded every other team that has cheated in order to make the Pats look as if they'd done nothing wrong.

I would agree with your assessment however from my pov at best the Chargers could be 4-1 or 3-2.....the fluke play (Carolina) and as for the Fins game, the game would've been tied had SD pushed it in....doesn't mean that the Chargers would not have won but it's hard to say which way that game could've gone.....even with the Chargers momentum.
Not down on your Chargers-despite their record, I still think they are the best team in the AFC West....whenever they get their act together.
wow you really love the internet!
while you're hard at work with internets-related business, check out dictionary.com and look up what "excuses" means. I don't think it means what you think it means. It's really inconceivable that you're this much of a cheese .
Half were excuses, the other half were just to remind you and the rest of the forum how much of a pathetic classless you are.
the Pats.
Go Bolts.
