im cheering more and more for hairston at this point. a small part of my motivation would be wanting him to have a bigger impact than dragic.
    You read my mind.

    no?

His knees were iced after the game, but that's pretty routine after 12 extended seasons.

Can someone tell me when Ian actually hurt his ankle?
Right before training camp started at a workout.

He was dipping his toe into the pool to test the temp.

    yes, absolutely.

I wonder if the program that now includes Austin will make them more serioes about camp invites from here forward?
We'll see. I'm guessing this year a lot of it had to do with having extra money under the lux tax threshold. They spent ~$500K for the fodder, which is about ten times as much as usual.

seeing these young guys excel is great and all, but it just makes the Ian injury even more annoying..dude could have used these games to build up experience and more importantly, gain Pop's trust(if he played well, obviously)..what a shame..hopefully he shows some good things in practice..we're gonna need an athletic big badly this year..

He looks pretty good. The only thing that worries me about him is he doesn't really have an NBA body. He's kinda short, stubby and thick.
He's got NBA hops, though. The only thing that worries me is that he's been fat on occasion in the past. The kid can really play though, and he's an excellent defender. Yeah, I said excellent.

    Good point.

They have said they'd to develop a player every couple years in Austin, if not Hairston then I don't see who that might be from the current group.

What do you think about Pop's choice of ball handlers today?

The injury to Ian is a huge setback for him and the team. Obviously, he lost a chance to become part of the Spurs rotation. Pop simply isn't going to throw him in the rotation without sight unseen. Once the season starts, there's little to no time to show his stuff. I wonder how long this will set him back?

Here's to hoping Hill, Hairston, and either Farmer or Green to make the team. Out of the last 2, who looked better tonight?

The Spurs looked good without Manu, TP, KT, Finley and Mason. The Pistons played their guys for a while except for Billups.

Hairston and Farmer have a chance. This has to be killing Stoudamire.

Completely forgot about him. Anybody think he's got a chance if he plays this week?
