I personally thought that what looks to be our 'official' second unit was terrible. Obviously, having Bonner out there is already a handicap. I really don't know what's the limit to Pop's patience, but I'm CERTAIN that Bonner is going to test it.

I can't quite gauge it. Is Pop giving Stoudamire a last chance or is he already on the team and he's trying to get him court time to justify the signing?
Bonner and Salim both made some really dumb basketball decisions in the first half. When things get rough while Manu is gone I can't really see either of them stepping up.
Farmer seems to have more confidence and fire - things we'll need.
Uh I don't think theres such a thing as "justifying" a signing.
Also people, George Hill is on the second unit, and hes not out there, so thats not the "official" second unit.
Duncan looks good. I don't think he's even trying yet but he's looked impressive in the preseason.
Parker doesn't look as dominant as he did earlier in preseason but he had a good stretch there in the second quarter.
Finley hitting his shots but not doing much else. Bowen's offense still raw. Thomas rounding into shape but looks decent.
Off the bench, Udoka looks the best so far. Mason started off well but then had a few dumb decisions and has yet to produce much. Stoudamire is actually a better than advertised ballhandler but he's obviously still struggling with that groin injury. Bonner had a horrible first half. He's still thinking too much instead of just playing. Oberto was Oberto. Hairston looks okay but he hasn't done anything to overly impress.
True that...
That was a good interview with Brett Brown.
A Trojan (like Farmer).![]()
Which is enough along with his great scoring and shooting touch to get him on the team.
Once Hill gets back and takes those minutes, that will allow him to rest the groin, get it close to 100%, and then he can get back on that horse and get goin again.
I am overreacting, but I just don't know if Bonner will ever get better. How much time is Pop willing to give him?
I'd say Pop would call Robert Horry up 1 day before the playoffs and he'd rather play him than Bonner. I just don't see why Bonner is on the team. Matt still can turn it around though so we'll just have to see how much time Pop gives him to do it.
I hope since Tolliver is all but assured and goes nuts in the second half so my blood pressure will lower. And my vote's for Farmer/Hairston.
But you want to keep Vaughn, too? Four PG's?
54% shooting for the half for the Wiz? Bah.
I take it not Farmer yet?
Guess who's late to the party?
I can't believe the Spurs are about to give away the preseason championship like this.
I still don't see the point of having Stoudamire on the team..we need Hairston much more than we'd need an undersized guy that only scores, and doesn't really do that well..
Farmer starts the second half in place of Finley.
hey harlemheat, hows it going? im lukeirdenour on realgm. havent been on realgm in a long time cause the spursforum there sucks. hope you post here more.
Pop does not look happy at all....
He looks absolutely pissed actually.
So for the onlineys, what's up with the 'Spurs Gone Wrong' halftime show?
I don't want to, but I don't have a say in the matter and I know hes not going anywhere so I don't sweat it.
This is Farmer's chance to prove he should make the team . . .
well we are loosing to the wizards![]()
