Seriously, were you high when posted this? The backwards B didn't seem odd to you, like she was a complete idiot and did it in the mirror? Fascinating. I don't think you needed to be a detective or ChumpDumper to see this one coming.
Understood, I just didn't know if you got the reference. BTW, scold whoever the you want, its the interwebs.

Not like this race wasn't over already but now it's really over. Depending on how much pub this gets, this might even be worth a percentage point on election day. Massive, massive fail.
Although I do give her props for helping destroy the current Republican Party. This is just a little bit more gasoline on the fire.

Do you know what "least fishy" means? I didn't say it wasn't fishy, but if you are going to look at that picture and start figuring out what is wrong with it, there are more glaring issues than the B of the 8| or whatever that is.
With the way this story has changed so much, its hard to say what is what, but Andrew Sullivan is reporting:
http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.co...-spokesma.htmlJohn Verrilli, the news director for KDKA in Pittsburgh, told TPM Election Central that McCain's Pennsylvania campaign communications director gave one of his reporters a detailed version of the attack that included a claim that the alleged attacker said, "You're with the McCain campaign? I'm going to teach you a lesson."
Verrilli also told TPM that the McCain spokesperson had claimed that the "B" stood for Barack.
May not mean much, but it would seem to imply that the Verrilli had details of the attack that no one else did and tried to blow it up and make it a big deal, even before the real details were available to anyone else. Kinda fishy.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I don't think Todd was a plant or anything, just that Verrilli used terrible judgement in trying to make this thing into a story, and looks especially bad now that we know the truth.
I agree, & it's disturbing that a single (probably) mentally ill person could sway thousands or even millions of votes by one crazy act... I'm for Obama, but there's no way I'd say there isn't a borderline mentally disturbed person on the Left somewhere in America right now who dreams about doing something just as equally stupid.
I agree. If the script were flipped, I would not want this to reflect on the Obama campaign. McCain does not deserve to lose votes because of this.
They would have stood to benefit from it which is why the blogosphere is on fire with the news that people in the Mccain campaign were pushing the story. That means they also deserve any negative reaction from it.
Meh. Seems like McCain/Palin should have to own some part of this for amping up the violent rhetoric. Are they responsible for the actions of this girl? No - she owns her own pain. But Mc/P do have to take some ownership of the hostility and nastiness they've fostered, and I think that is what this event will represent to people and why it will and should cost them some votes.
If Mc/P had been delivering a message of uniting America instead of the bitter divisiveness they've been spouting, then I'd agree flipping this is a 100% wash with no candidate to be held accountable. But it's just not a wash to me. This is a disturbed person coming home to roost in the coop of crazy that enabled her. I don't think the same could be said in a flip.
Although, as an interesting back story, I wonder if this woman was energized/drawn to the McCain camp because of the Palin pick... or if she would've actively worked for the republican nominee regardless...
Do you not realize what you posted in this thread moron?
So I err on the side of caution with the girl, which is what you're ing whining about in this entire thread, and now you try and spin it against me. That's rich.
Now if this were an Obama plant, he'd really have my vote. He couldn't have drawn it up any better. Announced on Drudge. Get a solid day of build up and then have it come crashing down with a confession.
Perfection.
How was that wrong? Did you not see the spin jobs throughout the thread? No matter the outcome, there was going to be spin ... as we have witnessed. She was lying, which wasn't a surprise, so we got spin followed by celebration. We might be in for some more spin to try to pin this on McCain himself.
then why hasn't that already happened by the mul ude of posters?
I accidentally carved what seems to read 'Sarah Palin' while shaving this morning...
Should I sue Gillette?
Patience, young grasshopper.
LOL you haven't figured out his shtick by now?
He makes wide ranging accusations towards anyone remotely liberal, Democratics, or supporting Obama. In all likelihood he's a closet R sympathizer, too embarrassed to admit it.
won't happen. you paint us with broad strokes.
now, if someone from the mccain campaign admits to knowing about the story before it broke, and was calculating a way to use it, would that be discussion worthy?
Yes, the guy who repeatedly owns himself within his own posts and can't answer questions derived from his own opinions has something figured out. I'll give it to you that you are persistent and seemingly impervious to embarrassment.
I don't think there is anything closeted about LJ's political takes. His ideas are intriguing to me and I would like to subscribe to his newsletter.
don't get me wrong. i think he could be the poster child for the voter that holds his nose while choosing.
Who is the "us" you are referring to?
the ones that "smelled the rat" and posted consistently. i never wavered.
and i would never attempt to implicate mccain himself.
You're right, I mean we should all listen to the man who comes up with intellectual gems like this one ^
