yes, but what happens when the jump shots clank,...who will bang down low?

    Diop, Erica, Bass, Dirk
You act like this is something new to the franchise in Dallas.

My assessment: Mavs played like complete trash, while the Rockets were draining every crazy off balance shot they threw up and it was still close through the entire game.

    Mavs will be just fine.

pau is soft but scola and landry are way too short. pau tall but what helps is that he is long. plus hes got a much better finese game and a jumper than most 4's in the game.

talk about soft, yao is as soft as they come. bynums length will give him fits.

boozer couldnt handle paus length but garnet did because he is also tall and long

This is what always makes me laugh my ass off

People that don't realize that Yao actually plays better against the bigger opponent that he's matched up against, certainly don't have the cred to call him soft, because they know nothing about his game and probably don't even watch him play.

You stick a true center up against Yao (like Bynum) and Yao is going to kick the dog out of him........like he did tonight against Dallas' 2 true centers.

Playing against a true center actually feeds into Yao's hand, which is why LA was always the team Yao went off on even when they had prime Shaq.

Avery was perfectly capable of coaching a team that had 3 and a half quarters of "We are bad ass" and then 6 final minutes of " it, let's go bowling instead".
What's the biggest lead that the Mavs ever had against the Rockets in this game? If anything it was Houston that almost ed the game up.

You better pick a better team you sucker, cause any team with Insane Artest as their leader aint beating the Lakeshow.
I'm sure you said the same thing about a team that included that choker Garnett.Look what happened there.

Stackhouse. The guy keeps getting worse. We win if Stackhouse doesn't play. Fact. Gerald Green ftw.

Really? He was the emotional leader and especially DEFENSIVE LEADER of their team.........and will you please tell us what side of the court they used to win the le last year?

Artest is one of those guys that can bring energy just through his hustle plays and defense.........him and Battier are going to be going back and forth all year, trying to out do eachother.

By the way he beat up on the Mavs tonight, you would think he is.Mcgrady contributed the least of the big 3.

Because he beat his chest when he blocked a shot? What the ever. Who carried that team through the entire playoffs? Garnett was horrible in the Finals.

If you think all Garnett did was beat his chest on defense your ing re ed. He (and coach Tom) were the main reason why they had a epic (NBA historic) defense.......even Laker fans will admit as much.

Playing championship level NBA ball isn't just about scoring points..(even though he still was able to throw up 20 & 10 on the offensive end)...Garnett took on one major role and played it well and it was a major role that took them all the way to the chip last season....that DEFENSE carried them.

I know you want to say it's Pierce who was the Celt's leader.Pierce played the Kobe to Garnett's Shaq in the way that Shaq might have led the Lakers in scoring, but it was Kobe who would make the clutch shots,FTs,.etc. to close out the Finals games.Yet, people called Shaq the leader.

Very, very true. Look it up, Yao plays best against the best. He has since his rookie year.

props to the Rockets. They played a really good game despite being on the second of a back-to-back. I know the Mavs can't do it, so in the playoffs I honestly will be pulling hard for the Rockets to beat the got Lakers.

Crap, now don't make me get all soft and start liking you.

Stackhouse played 17 minutes and had a +/- of -21!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That is ing insane.

Replace house with Gerald Green and the Mavs might have had a 15 point lead going into the 4th and still probably would have lost.

That was right after Ron hooked Josh's arm while he was mid-air and yanked him down. Ron was playing dirty all night.

Yao gave Josh a nice elbow to the face moments earlier as well.

According to Reggie Miller, Artest hasn't done anything wrong in his life.
