Duncan's been awesome. From what I've seen, he looks better than last year.
Gotta give Mr. Longoria some props too, he had a nice double-double last night 24pts, 11 assists.
Those two have been killin'
Right now Timmy is about the only thing that is awesome about the Spurs, God we are pretty bad right now...

Looks like we won big last night with our vbookie allanon!
Well, I wouldn't say that just yet. It's hard to get by with only 3 big men, even if one of them is named Tim Duncan.
Ha, that's almost a direct quote from the new power rankings. And I'd count Tony, Mason, and Finley as players looking good right now.
I will admit, Roger Mason has been better than expected.
How sad is it that only Mason and Bonner have averaged blocks this season?
Words could not describe how good Duncan is (or is my command of English too poor to do that?) - I'll try.
He just came out of the offseason, well-conditioned, was as effective as ever, & committed to winning games as always. I didn't watch game 1, & knew that he grabbed Bonner's head when I read from this forum later. I'm sure this action wasn't intended to create tension in the locker room. It just showed how Duncan was determined to win games. I was able to watch game 2 live, & Duncan was just as fantastic. I hope more players step up so Duncan & Tony don't have to carry the team every game.
Duncan's been incredible on the offensive end of the ball. On the defensive end of the ball, he's been offensive.
yeah, nice vBookie to start the season and it wasn't even really close.
Tony also looks like a man on a mission along with Duncan. Now they need the rest of the crew to join in.
I think the defense has been difficult given the poor showing of his running mates in the front court.
duncans D is coming, whoever doubts doesnt really know timmy at all.
His rebounding has been poor, but other than that his defense has been pretty solid. He did a solid job on Aldridge when he gaurded him and did well against Shaq and Amare too. He's just not being tested at the rim as much so far this season.
Don't worry about Tim though, worry about our gaurds not boxing their guys out after the shot. Pheonix and Portland just drained jumpers on us all day when we were allowed to set up our halfcourt D. Other teams are wary of Tim's shotblocking so they're taking advantage of our currently craptacular perimeter D.
I believe part of the reason could be that he's trying to stay out of foul trouble since we're short on big men.
Idea-thief!!! Ice009 thought that!!!!!!!!! Jk.![]()
I remixed an old video that I had done with some of the best plays in Tim's career.
Thanks. Nice to have something to smile about in the Spurs world today.![]()
You gotta give Tim a free pass on his defense. I don't see the man he's guarding going off, it's usually the other guy (Center/Power Forward) because KT, Oberto, Bonner aren't doing their jobs. Or the perimeter guys can't keep their player in front of them so he has to leave his man to help.
So he has to cover up for mistakes his guys make AND he has to score 30+ points.
He's giving a ton of effort and its almost like Duncan's defending 1 on 3 most of the time.
Simply the best.
20 points on 9-14
15 boards, 4 offensive
4 assists
6 blocks
2-2 FT's and 2 TO's
He continues to amaze after all these years.

You can see why he has such good hands and catches everything, they look like baseball mits.
One hand for defense, the other for practicing keyboard.
He is playing like the true MVP that he is.
SIX FREAKING BLOCKS!!! SIX!!!! Amazing!

You know, the guy that threw a block party in LA tonight. (Waiting for a better shot of one of them).

The best headline tonight comes from RotoWorld's Fantasy Basketball Breaking News:
Duncan blows up in win over Clippers
Tim Duncan hit 9-of-14 shots for 20 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks in Monday's win over the Clippers.
Nice. Owners have to be enjoying Duncan's early-season output, which was capped off by his best performance of the season tonight. He's scored 19 or more points in every game this season and the six blocks were a season high. Nov. 18 - 1:34 am et
