Couldn't agree with this thread more. , I thought people actually liked the Cowboys that much in this town to love this guy and his show so I'm glad that others are annoyed as much as I am with all the Cowboys talk. This is San Antonio and not Dallas. God, what would this guy do if we ever got our own NFL team? Then he gets into his "Maxim" like talk which is okay for the guy thing but even that after a while gets annoying too. I think someone actually called last week and complained about all the Cowboys talk and he got all pissed off and said that if you don't like it to change the station. Yea, he took it pretty personal.
Yeah, he's kind of a hot-head. He got himself into some trouble when he was working here in Dallas, because of his occasional hot-headedness. The guy knows his sports, and he's got great contacts, as a result of his time here in Dallas. However I do believe he needs to brush up a bit more on Spurs information. Simply because the issues going on with the Spurs right now cut deeper with the local fan base, than do the Cowboys issues.

The guys on the Sports Grind are very good. I like that show and don't see why they don't get more time.
im always up for a smart take in sports whenever kori is on.....but i hate to say it but i actually rather have pasacrita and ......uh cant remember the other guys name right now...he was a big spur homer but that was good..he would think the same things the fans would and go off that...i liked it.....Taylor sucks monkey sack!

Again, THIS IS SAN ANTONIO. The Spurs are our ONLY team. It's not about judging a season this early, it's about getting the fans takes on what's happening with the team. And right now, we as fans need to vent more than ever. And there's NO sports radio in town to do it in. And by the way, Taylor talked endless Cowboys during training camp. So it doesn't matter how early in the season it is. It's that kind of apathy that some Spurs fans are critized for these days cause they don't give a anymore.
The guy proved in his first year that its never a bad time to talk Cowboys. I listened to his show on and off for like his first year and when it was in Feb, March, and April, there was no shortage of Cowboys talk.
So where the Thompson bros but after they got a legitimate show it went to their heads and they lost touch with the fans that got them there. Sometimes success is bad for the listener.
If you Google Mike Taylor you will see many who were happy in Dallas to see him go. I wanted to support Mike Taylor at first I was so excited to get something fresh and different, for some reason the Wally Vex Show was all over the place. Like no one was at the wheel. They sounded like a bunch of caffeine induced teens inside a bus on MTV's NEXT reality show.
After Mike Taylor was on the air for about 15 Minutes he said he was a Spurs fan. I think his famous quote was.."hey I do what I gotzs to do to pay my bills"
That's when he lost me as a listener. The man had no sac to just admit he is a Maverick fan and maybe with time he can change but he sold out on day one. Add to the fact his lap dog Jim Bob (the producer) had his head so far up Mike's ass he had to yawn so he could see his laptop.
Their is ass kissing and then there's a place in the Salad tossing department even Eb McMahon on the tonight show wouldn't go. And he is the king of co-host ass kissers.
But people do what they have to do to get that check each week so more power to them.
It's sad hours after Andrew Ashwood's death the Ticket spends the first hour talking about hot babes and reminding the listeners "this is porn star Friday!"
Trust me you will know when San Antonio has a decent radio show because i will be a regular caller.

Yes it does seem that most on this thread don't like the cowboys, and i'll give that to you. i do listen to the show on right before called "talking cowboys". i listen to that show basically every day, and i'm not a cowboys fan.
living in san antonio, you get used to cowboys talk. i don't think that argument holds much weight at all.
i do think ticket 760 has taken cowboys talk to a new level. i mean, i see season ticket commercials on local tv. am i seriously supposed to drive 5 1/2 hours for a football game every sunday? i don't think it is too far fetched to assume the new format was bought and paid for by your dallas cowboys.
my complaint about this show in particular doesn't really have anything to do with the cowboys. i would listen if the guy was a professional, but the show just seems, for lack of a better phrase: childish, amatuer, and poorly conceived.
I couldn't agree more with this thread. What upsets me most about the Ticket, is as San Antonio's token Texans fan, they stopped airing the games!
Not to mention the Texans don't get any discussion time on the Ticket's drive time show
I agree with the juvenile comments about Mike. Whenever he says things like 'Gangstaaaaa' or 'Holmes' or 'Purrrro' or ANYTIME he says Dbag, I wanna reach through the radio and choke the out of him. That North Texas accent of his combined with his patronizing, pathetic attempt at a Spanish accent if soooo vile.

Amazing the comments in this thread are running about 40-1 against this guy. They can make up all the crap stats they want but this guy needs to get a clue. This ain't Dallas. This is San Antonio. To say this city belongs to Dallas just pisses people off even if they are Cowboy fans.

He said many things about Pop and the Spurs he had many nick names he would use. I remember a few of his buddies called the show to welcome him to San Antonio and one of them said hey Mike why don't you tell the folks in San Antonio what you used to call Pop? And then you could hear like the dudes mic was turned off and Mike said hey are you guys going to behave I just got this job or something like that but you could tell Mike did not want the San Antonio listeners to know how he really felt about San Antonio.
Another man who was on the phone from Dallas called mike out for selling out his team so fast. I think I might have the show on a HD somewhere.
I wanted to record the show to see if maybe Tpark of Kori would call in but they didn't.
He and Jenn Engel used to say nasty about the Spurs players, Pop, the city of San Antonio, you name it. I used to keep the radio on all day after the Spurs beat the Mavs just to enjoy their misery. People down there should know what this idiot was like.
Those guys pay to be on the air they are not affiliated with the Ticket employees, from what I was told they pay there radio bill buy the ads they sell during their show. That is what my ex Boss Stan Singleton said. He used to be a regular on the Tony Bruno show.
The sports Grind fellas would call him almost everyday. They would tell Stan how the other folks from the Ticket treated them like the enemy because of their popularity with the listeners.
At one time Don Harris and Walter would call the Thompson Brothers idiots and so on. Don Harris and Walter did not like people comparing the Thompson's show to theirs. I recorded a show where someone from the Ticket said something negative to the Thompson Brothers and Roland a loyal caller to the show bought the tape from me for 20.00 dollars.
I am not sure what they did with the tape but a few weeks later the ticket was getting a face lift and the T-brothers was getting more air time.
