He and Jenn Engel used to say nasty about the Spurs players, Pop, the city of San Antonio, you name it. I used to keep the radio on all day after the Spurs beat the Mavs just to enjoy their misery. People down there should know what this idiot was like.
If Mike Taylor would have just came clean and said he said many things but that was then and this is now? I could maybe respect the vato but he acts like he has been a Spurs fan since 1974 and a die hard Vato loco Mexican from the south side.

I would love for him to get a Job in Phoenix... I can only imagine what would come out of his pie hole next.

Your uncle is into anything that is not what was on the show before. Some people are so happy the ticket changed the people who were on before that they would even welcome Rosie O'Donnell as a host.

Let me find the HD that has his first show. Then your uncle can see how he went from a white man from Dallas to a brown Mexican from San Antonio in less that an hour.

It would be like Tpark at a Lakers game with his girlfriend and ESPN went and asked him how long has he been a Laker fan and Tpark goes on a long rant about how he has been a Laker fan since he was 11 years old......and yet we all knew he is a Spurs fan how would we feel about him?

Well Mike ed up by not saying "yes I am A Maverick fan but it's up to you San Antonio to help me see the light"

And maybe after a few months he can act as though he is sold on San Antonio and he may gain some respect.

They could have promoted it big time and he could have the Spurs Coyote baptize him in the San Antonio river. while he puts on a Spurs Jersey and sets on fire a Mark Cuban life sife doll.

    The possibilities are endless.......

Then you must really hate the fact that the spurs today charge 90.00 dollars for a seat where you can actually tell who has the ball and watered down flat beer for 8.00 dollars a cup. Tack on a 7.00 dollar hot dog and you just wasted your families cable bill for that month.

You really think a working class Mexican from the south/west/or east side that has 75.00 dollars in his pocket is going to go to the Spurs game when his wife wants him to put 10 in gas 25 on wallmart items and 40.00 for HEB?

I also hate when Jason on ESPN keeps talking about how there are 4 million people in San Antonio and that means the AT&T center should be a sell out every night.

He forgets 3 1/2 of the 4 million are poor Mexicans like us. Just because some town in Zembobway Africa has 2 Million people doesn't mean you can just open a StarBucks and make a killing.

And 1/2 of the rich white folks who do live in San Antonio moved here from out of town and they are Suns,Maverick,Jazz, and Rocket fans.

even when Kori moved to San Antonio she was still a Jazz fan.

Agreed in spades! Taylor and Jim Bob are awful. Boring! Self involved--talking about their experiences in life-like what? They talk too much and listen too little! Taylor obviously wants to return to Dallas. Get Chis Duel to talk sports!

    Damn Peeps.
Just waking up and reading this thread.

Obviously feedback good and bad is always welcome. Good to get a pulse on what people like and don't like.

Personally, I like Taylor, and off the mic, the guy is really a good dude. Their show is built on either a love or hate mentality. Their core audience freaking loves them, and there are some people, like posted above, that hate it.

Indifference is the most dangerous thing in any kind of media. If people don't care either way, then that sucks, and people won't listen.

Again, I'll give the shameless plug. Andy and I are pretty much all sports talk. We are heavy Spurs talk, and still Cowboys, and College Football right now. So give the show a shot in the morning. 7A-9A on Ticket

, Mouse knows. I'll take my medicine regarding feedback.

why doesn't he just stay up in dallas?...
tired of this whole small town mentality that anyone in the media feed down our throats...
its sickening, we'll never get our own football team w/that mentality...
i'd rather him discuss the Horns...

and btw a north texas accent is disgusting...kinda sounds like an okla accent...can't wait til south/central texas becomes its own state...

I tuned in once and heard an endless diatribe of anti-Houston Texans stuff. WTF ? No one in San Antonio gives a about the Texans being on local tv or not. In fact, most people here hope that another Texas team does well.

It then splintered off to heckling or harassing some local Texans employees in a bar. Seriously, dude. It wasn't funny and it seemed completely stupid and rude.

And if he says "Puro" one more time, I hope one of the local boys in town shows him what a puro pop to the mouth feels like. Leave it alone Taylor. This isn't your town, and no one ing says "Puro" about jack except for you.

Burns, you're all right, Taylor needs to relocate back North.

ESPN 1250 isn't too much better with Duel and Minnix. Jason Minnix talks like he is half Preacher and half Radio guy by stressing parts of words way toooo much. For example, he'll say something like: "Those two teams aren't even close-uh. It's not even-uh. So why show that on prime time-uh."

Meanwhile, Duel is still beating a dead joke into the ground and trying to salvage anything he can out of it. Its usually some sexual innuendo or play on words that he just hammers over and over.

At least Jay Howard is on now. You know what would have been interesting ? Ask Jay how he feels about Andrew Ashwood passing away. That would have been an interesting answer. Its no secret that they didn't like each other at all. 'Hey my EGO's bigger than yours' bull .'

That's the problem Peter your show and the Grind are so local and in touch with San Antonio that Mike is like the square peg in the round hole.

Your show is like cheese enchiladas the grind is like guacamole and Mike Taylor is like wonder bread he doesn't fit in with the Mexican food.

But to those who don't care that Mike sold out his city, or that he has a fetish for The Dallas cowboys then he is good.

I never said he sucks at his job, I just can't support anyone who will say anything to get a paycheck. At least Walter would call me a weasel on the air and Tim Merriman said i was a loser. To me that is honesty.

But if Mike can get the ratings and he has a fan base that loves him then more power to him he may be the best San Antonio has to offer.

I never had a problem with his radio skills it was the way he acted like he was a Spurs fan from day one that got my goat.

And Jim Bob is cool I would love to have a beer with him , he ed up when he called the ST posters losers, and said anyone who has more than one screen name needs a life. He was the one to always toss out the first insult.

And he can be a real bitter person on the www.

Go look at the topic about ESPN the Zone making cut backs and getting rid of the T bro's he posted a picture of the anic going down.

Was that a positive thing to post? So why can't we post what we want why does he get a pass? Just because he has only one screen name that means he is superior to me? I post something I am a loser, he post something its legit info? where is the balance?

Peter it comes down to the EGO. that is what breaks apart bands, business partners, and radio shows.

    Just ask Woody,Jay Howard,Howard Stern,Tony Bruno, etc.........

760 may not be interested in what is said here but perhaps the businesses that advertise during his show would be. Maybe a few emails with the posts from this thread could get the ball rolling. After all this is the age of activism.

It must be hard to host a local sports radio show here. No one has been very good at it.
I once sent an objective, positive e-mail to David Chancellor to help him with his morning show. It was absolutely terrible and most of it was Charlie Parker's fault.

Charlie Parker is a nice, down to earth guy and is always cool to people at shows on location. However, I can't stand him on the radio. He's been in the business so long that he has no interest in improving or getting better. He does his deal to get him through 3 or 4 hours or however long his show is.

Bad jokes, bad music, bad top 10 lists, little substance. I told Chancellor to take control of the show and tell Parker to back off the mic a little. That show needed direction, a format and some better guests. Parker was way out of control. I said if things didn't improve, the show would be gone and Parker would be off to another time slot because he's a survivor and a nice guy. What do you know ?

Hey maybe someone with the Spurs was reading this post. Mike didn't host React last night. Wally did it alone. Probably because he was stilling jerking it in Cowboys post game euphoria.

I don't really listen to STSA much any more because of the lack of value-add. I don't really enjoy listening to 2 guys talk about women they see on their website, like two kids at home on their mom's computer after school.

I agree with you about Chris Duel. He's always looking to talk about something sexual every chance he gets. It's like he just reached puberty and has nothing else to talk about.

    It's a Sports Talk Radio Show....not Howard Stern-lite!!!!!

    Yikes!!!
