... Amare Stoudemire. He has already stated several times he is not happy in Phoenix because of Shaquille O'neal, and he doesn't like Porter's system.
    sad but true

Offering Parker is too much, plus they arleady have Nash, Hill and Mason are two young and inexperienced... they need to win now or not win at all.

So my offer as much as it hurts me would be Manu, Mahinmi, and Oberto (for cap reasons)... plus if they want a couple of 2nd rounders.
no way. manu's great but his age is a problem, oberto's smart but has 33 years old...we don't need two vets for amaré. steve is 34 years old, shaq's 36 raja's 35 grant's 36 ... we don't need more vets. amaré for bosh sounds good for us.

I've never liked Amare as a player-- yes, he can score, but his mental mistakes are endless and his game is the exact opposite of what I watch and admire the Spurs for... intelligent team play. Come 2010, I'm hoping first for Bosh, then for Dirk, and after that, I'd rather see the Spurs get two good role players rather than Amare. To me, Amare is the main reason the Spurs have been able to beat the Suns in so many playoff series. He doesn't play D at all, he commits stupid fouls, and generally is a brawn over brains type of player.
    Exactly

If it could really really happen. Id personally open the door and tell Manu (whos last 5 turnovers that amounted to 24 Rocket points), dont let the door hit ya on the way out. Then of course after the door was shut, Id say thanks for the memories. Then again I live here so Id basically say that to Timmy, TP, and every other Spurs player who isnt gonna stay part of this community. Without reading another post on this thread there are some in here already saying. But wait, we have Ian in Austin lets give him a chance first. hahahahaha.....Suckers.

Since Aldridge has been such a hit lately and Portland is still trying to land that 'perfect PG' what about Parker for Oden, Webster and Bayless?

Portland will not trade Oden before they know how good he will be.

Manu for Camby works for both teams and would improve both teams weaknesses. Those two can be traded straightup and it would work but the spurs should try to add Vaughn or Bonner for another player in a two for two.

    Hypothetically

Id trade anyone outside of Duncan and Parker for Amare.

Manu is a stud, but Parker is more valuable given his age.

We could contend for a le this year, with Camby playing next to Tim. But that's not gonna happen. And getting Amare is about as likely as getting Dwight Howard.

This is a kid who could make a difference, and who we could afford. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/spencer_hawes/index.html

I would love to think there was some way to talk the Kings out of him.

There is no way the Kings give him up. He is too young and too good.

Even right now, in the paint. Shaq is just as good as Timmy. No I wouldnt take Shaq over Timmy. But your statement about in his prime isnt correct. Timmys lost alot since he came around. So has Shaq. But Shaq is playing lights out. While Timmy who you claim is in his prime is playing so so for a player his age. Then again Shaq has less pressure with Amare at his side. While Timmy has the man who plays more like a girl Fab. And a guy both Timmy and Shaq torch anywhere they've ever been in Kurt.

you really want the Suns to win a championship dont you???
Tell you what. Kerr would actually go for it and he'd throw a couple of 2nd rounders in order to make in happen.
Nash/Ginobili/Hill/Oberto/Oneal its actually a huge upgrade for the Suns and make them very scary, while the Spurs lose 2 important peaces of the roster and Manu.
No way, and BTW, Stoudemire can't play no D.
You have got to be joking. Nash/Manu/Hill/Oneal and Fab would easily be one of the biggest turnover teams in the NBA. This squad wouldnt beat many weak teams. Wow at some peoples thinking...... Shaq wouldnt play with Fab. Amare to Fab would be like going pro to jr. high. He would demand a trade for himself or Fab. And the whole team would suffer. Pop did all his magic on Fab and it worked for awhile. Theres no magic left for Fab. Hes just a horrible center and timmy deserves better.

I was just wondering if Amare would be happy not to be the man here... only because he complains about his new role in Phoenix and the fact that the game is built around O'neal.

OK, Duncan is not as dominant as he used to be... so maybe he can't be consider still in his prime... but he is still great and does not look like he is declining fast.

"Still in his prime" may be an overstatement... but Timmy is definitely not playing "so so".

Duncan, at age 32, already past his prime?

he maybe slower than he used to be. less dominating than he used to be. but he's still as consistent as the day he was born.

some people here just want to poison your minds. don't be so gullible. s

You give Manu to the Suns and you make them better, now matter how you put it.
And the Spurs with Amare and without Manu are not better at all.
I give you Fab is not all that, but he can still pass the ball, and with Manu on the court can compliment very well, and you know even though Fab. is not athletic, He can find the right spot to be at, and when you play with Nash that is a plus.
No matter how you see it,if you let Ginobili go you need to get at least someone on his same category.
Amare aint clutch, cant play no D and He's a ballhog.
BTW,Manu playing along side Nash could easily average 25 ppg.
Let's not get carried away here.
