Dallas fans and ownership have the biggest case of penis envy for the Spurs franchise. Every timeout, there is a "Mom, don't let your babies grow up to be Spurs fans." video or some gay ass video with Ginobili wearing tights dancing. , even before the game, the gay ass MC went back into the locker room and was talking to Bass and flopped onto the ground trying to "prepare Bass for Ginobili". It's pretty pathetic, but hilarious that they have that much envy of the Spurs.

I was at the game too. Your observations are spot on!

Here are a few of my own:

Everyone was way into the game. Very much a playoff atmosphere. All were standing for the last 5 minutes and both overtimes.

Spurs did have trouble staying in front of Barea. It's almost like they were either shocked or didn't believe he could get into the paint against them.

    Dirk is still an assassin.

Mavs have slightly "toned-down" their in-game presentation. No more rap music at the start of every fricking possession. Though they now have 2 mascots.

    Cessna "Turtle" Terry is still a cheap-shot, punk-ass .

Bonner's shooting and hustle surprised even the locals. So much so that many were yelling at the Mavs to not leave him open. Many were asking me, "who's that guy?"

Udoka made only a cameo appearance. Would've liked to have seen how effective he would've been against the smaller lineups the Mavs threw out.

Erick Dampier has the hands of Roberto Duran.

There are no words to describe the performances by the Big Three.

Bowen's clutch 3 sent most fans streaming for the exits.

Mavs do have some very hot cheerleaders.
It's funny how all of a sudden Bonner is being noticed by everyone, from fans to sports writers, and even posters on ST!!!

Its nice to see them shots go in. As for Manu I really liked his approach to the game. He ended up with 8 assists and only 1 turnover. And thats a perfect game for Manu when his shot isnt falling or he's in a slump. As long as he doesnt push to hard and turn the ball over like he has a tendacy to do from time to time. It can really help this ball club. If you cant help your team at least dont hurt them while your on the court. Got away with playing small ball tonight. And I can live with that considering the type of game it was. Get them wins.....

Jason Terry is known far and wide as a dirty player who majors in tackling opposing players, and and minors in nut shots.

He's referring to Terry flagrantly fouling TP in the 4th.

What's funny? He's performing well and earning more minutes. He hasn't done much in a Spurs uniform up until this point.

Players don't usually get noticed for doing nothing, right?

Sports radio here in Dallas today is great. One broadcaster on the Ticket said that as long as the Spurs have Duncan, Ginobili, Parker and Pop that they will always be contenders and will never be counted out.

The general consensus is that the Mavs played about as well as they could and still couldn't win.

How can anyone say they played about as well as they possibly could have with one of their top scorers out due to injury?

Suckhouse is never going to play for us again.

But let's play the IF IF IF IF IF IF game...

If Kidd doesn't tip the ball into his own basket...

you guys have your own lists of ifs.

u mean november. different teams back then

mavs actually hurt spurs with JJ-Kidd-Terry trio of guards. had stackhouse played, it would have been easier for spurs

It's easy. The statement is that the players the Mavs had available to them last night played about as well as they could have played. That statement is independent of any discussion of who did not play for them last night.

Different teams? Then you'd be implying the Mavs have regressed if they could go from beating the Spurs by 18 to losing by 7 in double OT. How is that possible?

Why would you even bring up Stackhouse? It's clear we're talking about Howard. Stackhouse is irrelevant.

The Spurs were fortunate the Mavs stopped going to Barea to create offense in OT.

Bowen was incredible on Dirk there in OT and that 3-pointer by Bruce when Dirk left him open, with the Spurs down 124-125, was HUGE.

The Spurs just out-executed the Mavs down the stretch and really did well in points off turnovers and on fast break situations.
Spurs were fortunate? The Mavs were fortunate Pop didn't sic Bruce on Barea sooner. He got a little too full of himself trying to go one on one and Bowen shut his ass down.

Yeah, they sound defeated! One guy was laughing about Channel 21 showing the commercial calling this "The Rivalry"! He said, "what rivalry? Spurs always win! Where is the rivalry?"

Bowen did better on Barea than Hill or Parker did, but he didn't shut JJ down. The Spurs had to use Bowen on Jet and Dirk. Barea got past Bruce on a baseline drive, although Bruce was hoping help would come sooner from Tim. Tim was late, but Barea is just so quick - even for Bruce. The Spurs had to employ the sag on him and then he would just kick it out to the perimeter scorers and slashers. JJ's pretty good.
