It's far from sure that Spurs consider that getting back S-Jax is a "great opportunity".
In 03, they let him go by refusing to give him a big contract.
Five years later, he is basically the same player except that his contract is significantly bigger that what Spurs were ready to give him in 03. Spurs also want to have some cap space in 2010.
S-Jax brings a lot of good memories to Spurs' fans but Spurs' staff hasn't that emotional approach. I don't see Spurs investing $43M and canceling their 2010 plan for a player that has some qualities but who is also an inconsistent, inefficient scorer with a questionable at ude.
