If we would've won, it would have been justifiably called a significant win against a good team.
However, when we lose, it doesn't matter, it's only January, etc. Interesting.
See, this is what makes me so ing angry. I'd be much more willing to accept this loss if the Spurs sucked ass, but they outplayed the Magic in every aspect except the two you mentioned. And when we got the lead in the fourth quarter and the momentum, back to back HORRIBLE calls, the most bull of calls, ruined it. Destroyed it. We never recovered. I hate it and I'm not going to get over this game very easily because we played very well and lost. I'm so pissed off. There were so many blown calls and no calls against us, it's ridiculous. I can't even think right now I'm so pissed.
Interesting...yes I agree!!
But there was only one (okay two) factors that kept the Spurs winning.....three point shooting (offense and defense) and the refs.
The Spurs won every other statisical category in the game....they will be fine!!
how many girls is Dwight Howard going to impregnate tonight in celebration?..
td4mvp21,
I understand your angry. I'm upset too...but if they would have lost in those other statisical categories...then I would be concerned about them against the elite teams. But...they played well except in one aspect of the game and we have to give Orlando credit as well for shooting lights out.
The Spurs showed a lot more tonight and how much they have progress in this loss then against all the wins vs the bottom feeders of the league.
They will be ready on Wednesday night!!!

Bonner can't carry Turk's jock strap. Must be a b!tch to see Hedo a better player than he was when he was here.
I don't even want to watch another game right now. I'll be ready for Wednesday.
And yes, I'm happy with the way the Spurs played. They can hang with anyone. I'm just frustrated because I feel that we got this one taken away.
I just hope we destroy the Lakers on Wednesday... that's all I want, the Magic and their bull threes.
Losing wallpaper.
I know bowen, it's very disappointing.
Enjoy Hedo in the playoffs.
Look the Magic played well and the so did the Spurs. But they did not take away anything from the Magic. Even though the Spurs shot better from the field, they allowed too many good looks. The Magic played well and took advantage of the favorable calls. That is all.
the good: played about as good as you can to win a game.
the bad: the other team played even better.
the ugly: tons of mistakes leaving wide open 3pt shooters
Overall I'm excited because we're not there yet and we still had opportunities to win the game, it also means we have lots of room to grow over these next couple of months. It's gonna be some journey.
Pop took the night off.
Finley must have his own custom mat in Pop's office.
The Spurs have got to stop hanging their heads every time the Magic or another team make a bull play or shot.
I'm seeing this way too often these days like the Spurs are going to give up because the other team keeps pulling ridiculous plays out of their asses. So what if the Magic made a thread, get over in and move on to the next possession. every time the refs make a mistake the Spurs dwell on it too much, forget about it and move onto the next play. Pop usually has the team not worrying about that sort of , but lately they are letting is distract them and take away from their game.
Hedo was always great in January. Just ask Sacto and SA.
If and when Orlando ever gets to the stage that it plays in big games -- which it has not during Hedo's blissful stay -- then you will learn how Hedo peforms in big games.
Until then, just enjoy being Orlando.![]()

Another thing is what is Mason doing taking 4 shots? Is that all he had. Another poster mentioned it earlier so please correct me if that is wrong.
You'd never see Stephen Jackson take 4 shots on the big stage like this. Either Mason needs to say it and take more shots or Pop needs to wake up and get our best shooter the ball more and runs some plays to get him loose.
Bloag is a bad mojo. Never use it again.
For all the people wanting to dog Hedo, he was a huge factor in that the Spurs were so focused on his penetration that he got open looks for Howard for dunks and open three's for guys on the perimeter. Without his play, all those wide open 3's the Magic hit do not happen. I guess you all know better than David Robinson who said Hedo is the difference maker for the Magic. Hedo was and still is the long 3 who can shoot from the outside, put the ball on the floor, pass, rebound, and play PF in a small ball line-up. So wonderful to see Hedo tonight.
Who can forget?
Was at game. Some thoughts...
1. Mason didn't get the ball enough! Four shots only?!
2. Parker look too much for his own shot. Think he got tired at the end and thats why he missed the last 2 close shots.
3. Went away from Timmy. He had 10 points at the end of 1st qtr and had Howard in foul trouble. We don't go back to him until the fourth quarter.
who gives a about Hedo Turkoglu? he's an irrelevant player..he's shooting 39% this year, and has been their FOURTH best player..he's had 1 good season in his entire career..he's never won anything significant as a main player..he's ugly..
he had a good game, good for him..he hasn't had many this year..
he's an irrelevant player..
