    And so the ref-blaming begins.

Both teams had calls go for them and against them. Don't play the "but it was a foul/no it wasn't" game.

A of a game by both teams.

how does he take 1st first step with his right, shoots after landing his left and be called for 3 steps? does he have a third leg somewhere??
It looked to me like he took a step then paused and reset his pivot foot and then took that second delayed step....IMO

I don't know why anyone's arguing the reffing - it was even, bad calls both ways.

If we can only beat them 112-111 at home in January when they are beaten up, we don't have a hope in May. Hope this spurs Pop to pull that other big we need out of his hat!

And after that phantom travel call on Ariza and actual Manu foul, Spur fans can't complain about the Lakers always getting the calls.

    It goes both ways.
Except the Lakers get them in the playoffs.

Ariza missed that shot on the travel call anyway, so the whining about it being called is moot and they'd have lost quicker without it.

When Tim shot the ball and got hacked by Gasol, should have been an and one! It was a no call.

Agreed. I'm not arguing, just trying to point out it goes both ways, just like Eddy Curry.

Entertaining game, but pretty pathetic down the stretch.
Huh? 2 huge Duncan baskets, then Mason's and-1, interspersed with Kobe insanity? That's a pathetic stretch? Do you like basketball?

    Agreed.

Lakers are damn good. Coming off a game in Houston and we still had to shoot 57% to barely beat them.

It a 7 game series, I give the Spurs a 30% chance of beating the LAL.

    Awesome game!

I didn't expect this entertaining a game in January even if it was the Lakes and the Spurs.

    Congrats spurs fans.

I see some of you fans are still complaining about the refs even after a win...LoL
(Hey, that's what makes a Spur fan a spurs fan )

Enjoy it guys..you deserved this one.

    rebounds
    Lakers: 32(8 offensive)
    Spurs: 31(7 offensive)

does anybody expect more out of Bynum than 18 points on 9-15 shooting? I don't..the rebounding isn't a surprise, since he's prone to having some games like this..

Pau Gasol had 21 points on 10-14 shooting..not surprising, since he's a great player..he can play better than this, but not by much vs. Duncan IMO..

my point is that we just won a game vs. the Lakers, despite big performances from their frontcourt..even Josh ing Powell scored 6 points in the 4th quarter..

obviously a win vs. a team doesn't mean we'll see the same thing in the playoffs..but clearly we showed an ability to beat them when their frontcourt players have big games..

Yeah I wouldnt worry about it, unless we get home court or make a trade or Ian comes in and gives us a legit Center, I dont see us beating you guys in a series. Not unless we can shoot that well over 7 games which is not likely!

We need a good ball handler late in the game. Tony just doesn't cut it. He's too "i'm thinking of a word" ahh French. He'll surrender in the 4th quarter.

BTW you need to work on your defense Parker. When Fisher is schooling you, you have a problem.

Lakers had their core players tonight. Its just a patheic excuse by their fans to belittle the spurs win by stating scrubs Vuja and Walton didn't play. Anyways to me the turning point in that game where it went from being potentially a blowout win by the spurs to a close game was when the scrub Powell hit I think 4 shots in a row. That guy is straight up garbage and I would know since he went to my school NC.State. I do think th spurs need to somehow find a way to get a half decent bigman to help Duncan. If they can do that then I think they could take out the Lakers in the playoffs.

Bynum is a beast in the low post. That skyhook is nasty. He just needs to stay out of foul trouble.

Great game Lakers, great game Spurs. 112-111 either way would've been fitting.

Lakers fans, your team is better than ours right now but I look forward to a showdown in May.
