this is sickeningly ignorant. (short memories)
I wouldn't go that far, however Parker has to player better in the crunch time.

Nope that was the result of Ariza's defense. Expect to see more of that in the playoffs.

I'll agreed on the turning the ball over so much lately.

I hope he gets over that hump pronto.

actually i think the ball in Manu's hands mean a turnover late in the game.
For the most part, I agree...

your right, but against the Lakers Tony has historically not been good. Give the ball to Mase/TD/Manu.
Tony is exceptionally good against the Lakers when the Spurs are in a compe ive game. The only time Tony doesn't do so well the Spurs are getting blown out, which has been often against the Lakers.

Did you know that he's hitting 57% of his shots in the clutch?

However I did get angry at Tony for his performance at the end of the game tonight, but it was for not taking shots that he usually takes (and makes) and making stupid passes that ended in turnovers.

But either way saying that Tony doesn't deliver in the clutch is ridiculous when stats show that he does.

Exactly how many more points do you want him to average in crunch time? He's already 8th in the NBA and out of those 8, he is second in field goal percentage. He also averages the third least turnovers in the clutch of the top ten scorers.

Spurs fans are pretty damn hard to please if those stats aren't sufficient enough.

These stats make Tony look like Kobe, which he is not. Everyone knows that. Stats are only so good, and they can never tell the whole story.

Timvp, can you find stats on Tony's BA's late in the game? Or maybe just the stats above, but limited to the last 10 games?

The same idiots say he isn't a true pg b/c he doesn't avg. 10 apg...... As if assists are the only stats that make you a pg. As if a big man isn't in the paint to dump the ball to and draw double teams.

Don't waste your time explaining. Earlier in the game when Tony was like 6-for-9, Spurs fans were ing about bad shot selection. It's just how it goes.

I'll qualify that by saying that hasn't been the case lately, and I hope he's on an upward curve.

He just needs to temper "tragic johnson" tendencies just a bit. Tonight I thought he did that.

Blocks against? If he's shooting 56.9%, why would it matter if he's getting his shot blocked on the misses?

A more disturbing trend is posters not thinking before starting a thread. TP is clutch and the Spurs wouldnt have any problem if he made the last shot or would run the last play. Even Pop trusted him a few games ago to run the play without calling a timeout on the closing seconds of the game.

After realizing that the OP is the same poster who accused Parker of freezing out Mason before, I now know that I should give his opinions all the respect they deserve.

    Meaning, none.

I give up on these types of Spurs fans. Parker gets bashed after every loss, that's a given. But now the new trend is to bash him after any close game. The only time threads like these don't appear is if the Spurs win in a blowout. You win, New Age Spurs Fans, you win.
