But he's not perfect and he does take stupid shots (as do all of the Spurs). The difference with him is that he's supposed to run the team, not dribble around for a while, not pass to anyone, and then take a jump shot (actually happened last night).
Yeah you just practically have his back there.

    They never say that.

They just wait till the next time he screws up and point at it and jump up and down like 12 year olds on cotton candy saying "I TOLD YOU SO!!!"

Shastafarian, the point is that when I read your posts, I cannot help but feel you are somewhat biased with respect to TP. Not as bad as Lefty and a few others , but still, I do not remember seeing you post the type of comments you make about TP for other players (though I do not think you've opened any of the "TP bash" threads).

So put me on ignore and quit ing. I love how you think you're a better fan than me or anyone else. I personally hate fans who can't criticize their own team when it's valid. Find me "constantly rip" Parker. Seriously find the posts.
You don't criticize your own team, you spend your time bashing TP. Man you are obsessed or what ? He refused to sign you an autograph ? He stole your wife ? GTFOH and go root for Utah/Deron or NO/CP3

In my mind just because of his height and only, Parker should not get the ball in the last minutes. It has got to be Manu.

Critiquing shot selection doesn't equal blaming someone for a loss last time I checked. Who are these "other" people and what the do they have to do with anything?
    You're a waste of time.

You don't bring anything to the debate except your initial statement (Parker sucks) and then you keep arguing for pages about what you did or did not intent in you're previous posts.

That's not why I'm coming to ST for.

This is just my 2nd post here! I am a big fan of all our big 3: Tim, Tony, and Manu. And I think for the Spurs to win it all this year, we need all three of them to play strong. Some comments about Tony, I would say (I am not a Tony hater, instead, I am a Tony's supporter) he does seem to get tired in the game fast. Maybe because of his strength and energy are not there for the whole 48 minuts in the game. In the game vs. Lakers, he seemed to be a little shaky (I don't know it was because of his mentality or his energy or the hard defense from Ariza) Hopefully, Pop and the Spurs coaching staffs can see that and fix it. Also hopefully, Tony will read this forum and realize that we are not gonna give up on him but want him to work harder to get through all these problem that we all are worried about.

I also agree that we did a good pick up in signing Mason and Hill. They will help us greatly come playoff time. And we still need another athletic Big to help Tim down low.

Anyway, I might not be a Spurs' fan that long. It has been about 6 or 7 years since i came to the US in 2002.

    Go Spurs Go!

This all started with me saying I didn't like the trend of Tony taking the most shots on the team (See signature for some juicy stats) I have said Tim and Manu are careless and take stupid shots but fair enough and thanks for an honest opinion. But....

You don't criticize your own team, you spend your time bashing TP.
    Nope
Man you are obsessed or what ?
Obsessed with what? Can you find me anywhere in this thread where I criticize Parker?
He refused to sign you an autograph ?
I'm not a child like you seem to be thanks.
    He stole your wife ?
Yep I was going out with Eva for a while
GTFOH and go root for Utah/Deron or NO/CP3
If you can find some posts where I "bash" Parker then by all means. But you can't because I don't bash him.

    You're a waste of time.
Yet you decided to waste your time with me...

You don't bring anything to the debate except your initial statement (Parker sucks)
Interesting considering I have never said this
and then you keep arguing for pages about what you did or did not intent in you're previous posts.
because other people keep arguing with me. It's what happens on message boards. Welcome to the internet.

That's not why I'm coming to ST for.
    Thanks for sharing?

Thanks guys, I thought you were there.

    What's your point, really?

Tony Parker takes the most shots on the team, so what? (that's in your sig, I'm not making anything up here, am I?)

Please, do some research then show us how it affects other spurs when TP is taking the most shots and when he's not then, maybe, we can have an interesting discussion.

I'd prefer the ball going to TD, Manu, Mason, later Tony... he's looping around in those plays, anyhow his numbers support him.

Well if you look at my signature you can see this year is off trend. For your benefit:

    Tony Parker 2004-2005 (FGA-FGM) - 6.7-14.0
    Tim Duncan 2004-2005 (FGA-FGM) - 7.8-15.8

    Tony Parker 2005-2006 (FGA-FGM) - 7.8-14.2
    Tim Duncan 2005-2006 (FGA-FGM) - 7.2-14.8

Parker with the ball late in the game = turnover/airball/brick.
tony against suns: kickout assist to mason for gamewinner

tony against philly: tony with the gamewinner

    ...uh...

ok, he also does mistakes, but its not like only bad things happen to us, when he gets the ball late in a game!

So what? Is it a bad thing? Please back up your claim (you know, stats, analysis, that kind of stuff, not just a statement without any argument)

Did you notice that Tony Parker is 6 years younger than Duncan?
He's taking a bigger role in the offense now than when he was 23 yo (at least during the RS), once again is it a bad thing?

You're posting for the sake of posting...

...What do you want from me? I don't like the trend of Parker taking so many shots because in my eyes some of those shots are sometimes unnecessary and of poor choice. That's not exactly "I hate Tony Parker and wish he would get traded" is it? I just think he hesitates to pass down low when he thinks he can make a circus shot over 2 people or a big man. Granted in some games his teammates have let him down when he passes out to them but he is averaging 2 more shots a game than last year. That's a fairly big increase when you have to distribute shots amongst Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Roger Mason, etc.

And I thought the shot selection issue was settled after Timvp's and others' numbers showed you were wrong.

How can you show someone is wrong when the issue is fairly subjective in nature? He has his opinion and I have mine.
