You're right, still you don't want anyone to shoot an open potentially game winning three. OK, some exceptions come to mind: Shawn Bradley, Shaq, Darius Miles...
Well, I'm going to stop now.![]()
The defense held strong a good solid spurs type win I rather win games in the 80s then games in the 100s. Cause then I know the 80s game was more spurs pace.

Bobcats FG-29-80 - 36%
I'm happy..dominant defensively..our offense made a lot of bad decisions, which we typically do vs. average teams..Charlotte's playing well lately, like Ruff said(wins vs. Detroit, Boston, Portland)..
The Yahoo game site said Diaw shot it from 29 feet. If true, pretty good odds he wont make it even if he was "wide open"
Everyone is saying a win is a win, but I'm getting frustrated by team's inability to pull away from .500 teams and blow them out.
I can't stand this close games. Heart can't take it!![]()
He was close to the 3 point line !
oh, Finley 1-9. Ouch. How long has he been in a slump now?
i watched the game, in my opinion it was a good win, the bobcats played good and had won 3 in arow and were 9-4 since all of their trades...are they a 70win team no, but a solid win against a hot team on the road..not sure how people can get upset..great dunk by duncan at the end, shame it bounced right to diaw, but got lucky he missed...ginobili hit two big threes in the finals 3 minutes and overall a gritty road win. i am happy.
I'll take the win and the defensive effort but the offensive decision making down the stretch wasn't the best. KT stretching his range with under a minute to go? Ginobili also went way too soon on that pick-and-roll with TD. He went with about 12 seconds on the shotclock. The right play was to go with about 5 seconds left and force the Bobcats to rebound and go the length of the court with no timeouts left.
Oh well. Good defense. Clutch threes by Manu. Survived the physical game.
Yup, I've been watching a lot of Bobcats lately and they have become a good team since the Diaw/Bell trade - both perfect fits for them. However, they haven't learned to win in the clutch yet. They tried to give the Boston game away 4 times, and they gave this one away to us after playing better ball in the second half until 3 mins to go.
Bobcats for the 8 seed!![]()
Exactly, except it was a block not a dunk.
Agreed, and poor shot selection in the 4th by Finley as well.
Ah well, we got through it.![]()
Next.
The Bobcats arent the worst team in the league anymore, so winning on their home court in front of a packed holiday crowd was a good win. Two more games and the Spurs will be at the halfway mark of the season, and then we'll see what this team is made of coming down the stretch. This was the 2nd straight game where they made some horrible decisions and mistakes in crunch time, but they were bailed out by Nocioni's stupidity and Diaw's buzzer miss to get wins. They have to get that stuff under control, and I'm hoping it's just mid season blues that's causing some of the mental errors.
The Pacers are worse than the Bobcats. Yet, given the recent trouble taking care of ty teams, we all have to assume the Spurs are going to struggle against them too.
a win is a win, especially these days where it seems every team plays hard. And Charlotte's been playing some good ball lately. Also, Denver losing today is plus. Now we need New Orleans to lose to Indy, Phx to lose to Boston, and LA to lose to Cleveland. Fkn Dallas won so them. lol.
I didn't even realize there was a game today until I got the text... at least we won (barely).
December 11, 2008: Mavs- 95 Bobcats- 90, 16 lead changes and 11 times tied. Doesn't sound like a solid drubbing either, huh? That being said, ugly game with an exciting win. I can't take too many more of these, especially with -.500 teams. I think we've got a toughie tomorrow. Granger. (shudder)
Winning wall.

I don't know if the Pacers are worse than the Cats, but we're gonna be at home(IIRC)..Indiana has been playing the better teams in the NBA closely this season..they are a dangerous team when they get hot..
OT.
Duncan signed autographs and posed for pictures with more than three dozen fans in Wake Forest gear before the game. It came shortly before Duncan’s alma mater became the top-ranked team in the country.
Bobcats are a good team, guys, ever since with that Diaw trade, they have been trying to find themselves but no doubt this is a team for the future.
When the Bobcats won against the Celtics, everyone talked about how they were "suprisingly good" and rising out of the cellar to challenge teams.
When the Spurs beat them, suddenly they're back to being nothing again. I smell hypocrisy.
Reality is, if Duncan had made his FTs this game wouldn't have even been close.
it's nothing new here..
ST posters are overreacting again....3rd game in 4 nights and they had to grind it out. I'm okay with the win and onto Indiana tomorrow night. It's an 82 game season!!!
The Bobcats played hard in the 2nd half and its nice to see the Spurs grind out games again in the mid-to-high 80's instead of plus 100 point shootouts.
