Extremely similar. Both very smart and both have a unique command of the language.
Give him a chance, G. Hes cool beans.
It's more than possible I got you wrong. If so, my bad.
OTOH, you're not exactly a paragon of clarity....
Extremely similar. Both very smart and both have a unique command of the language.
Give him a chance, G. Hes cool beans.
So true.
No sir I would not have... I wish Bush would have failed with all of his bail outs and his reluctance to protect the border.
According to the standard those who questioned Bush were subject to, yes.
Absolutely. Which is why they should be reminded of that fact by as many people as often as possible. But they should also understand it is being said in jest, and that no one actually believes they are unpatriotic for that reason alone.Would implacable have called me unpatriotic for having uttered identical hopes for the Bush Presidency?
Its just to point out the bizzaro world people lived in during the Bush Reign who had the audacity to question his leadership and decision-making.
If a person is diametrically and adamently opposed to Obama's views and policies, then why wouldn't they wish he would fail? I don't want national healthcare, I don't want Gitmo closed, I don't want any and all restrictions removed from abortion on demand, and I don't want the government taking over everything they can get their hands on - so yes - I want Obama to fail.
So you'll be disappointed if the implementation of Obama's policies means a reversal in the economy and no dramatic change or even an improvement in our security?
it will not reverse our economy -- you want to get out of debt by spending more money ?
He offers no improvement for our borders or our security. We will be a weaker nation.
Those are your concerns.
What I'm asking is this: if Obama's policies make a positive difference on the economy and if Obama's policies preserve the status quo from a security standpoint, will you be disappointed?
at what cost ? nationalizing everything ? then yes i will be disappointed. Capitalism please...
Incredible. When was the last time we had a surplus? With "tax and spend" Clinton. How about that.
I'm glad you have a crystal ball that unequivocally says Obama will fail. Must be nice to live in a universe that you're splashing around so omnisciently in.
So you'd rather that the economy fail than see policies you disagree with implemented, even if those policies brought success?
It's little wonder our political society is so polarized. Its not about the success of the nation any more -- it's about prevailing in the war of ideas, first and foremost.
Yes - I would rather stay America -- than surrender all my rights, opportunities and property than become china or russia - and nationalize industry. Capitalism sir.. Capitalism and the Cons ution.
So even if Obama stops short of the socialism you fear -- and there's no way he's going to get close to what you fear -- you still hope that he fails? Better that the Republicans be right than that America flourish with a Democrat in office!?!?
And this is why McCain lost the election. Because his supporters make statements like this that show how idiotic they are. There is absolutely no way to even begin to have rational discourse with you. If I wanted to hear someone repeat this tired, dogmatic, pathetic driveling excuse for political posturing, I would listen to Sean Hannity or Pat Robertson.
Bush has shown a remarkable ability to botch up the former and a complete disregard for the latter, but hey, keep drinking that Kool Aid. It's easier than thinking.
Mccain lost the election because he had no conservative base. He was the lesser of two evils. There were two democrats running this year - one of them just had on sheeps clothing. Don't kid yourself.
bartleby - Capitalism works - Capitalism is why we are the most prosperous nation on the planet even today... capitalism is why a VCR cost $1,381 dollars in 1981 and now it costs $50 at wal-mart.
We need to get back to the cons ution and if you are stupid enough to believe Bush is solely responsible for things then :
1. You are an idiot
2. You must admit he is the most intelligent..most persuasive man on the planet
Both parties brought us here -- alongwith more than a few foreign dollars. Clintons love that Chinese money eh....
Wait -- then why wish for Obama to fail?
Any such failure won't be Obama's, at least not according to the logic that you just used to absolve President Bush.
I am not absolving President Bush.. I said he is not solely responsible for this mess. You can go back to Wilson where this all began - FDR - ...Clintons selling our country to the Chinese. Bush nationalizing industry - congress allowing it. -
But if things don't get fixed, it's Obama's failure?
I'm also curious to know what, cons utionally, would change the economy?
implacable just hates America like all the board Republicans now do.
no - -your question references his policies. - my response was I was not willing to sacrifice rights, property etc.. national soveriegnty or what we have left of it for the economy.
