God damn your a whiny crybaby little runt ay.
Ok, hot shot. When IS closing time? Since obviously you have no idea.
If you are unable to define a word, don't make the attempt to be so haughty as to look down on those who's definition is not in line with yours.
So how about it? When is closing time? Keep in mind that as soon as you tell me I'm going to be looking up LeBron's stats in that time frame.
God damn your a whiny crybaby little runt ay.
Did someone just say LeBron isn't clutch? I can't think of a more feared player come playoff time over the last two seasons. Wasn't it his Cavs that came the closest to knocking off last years champs, with him deuling with Pierce in Game 7? Wasn't it LeBron who steamrolled through Detroit in the previous playoffs, with one of the greatest closing games we have ever seen? Anyone that says he can't close games needs to put the pipe down.
On the flip side, did Kobe just not blow a Finals series last year, while giving up a 20 point lead on his home court (Game 4) and getting drubbed by a near record defeat in Game 6...when he basically gave up? Did he not also choke/quit on his team in that Game 7 against Phoenix....blowing a 3-1 lead? Or what about the pathetic Finals showing against the Pistons in 04? If any other player (i.e. Dirk or anyone else) had these kind of showings, we would label them the biggest chokers on the planet.
I think it's a tossup between LeBron and Kobe, as far as who is better. But please save the LeBron can't close garbage. He has just as many recent playoff examples of stepping his game up and carrying his squad as Kobe does of blowing huge series leads and quitting on his team.
You're a dumbass if you think Closing time doesnt come at the END of games...and if your like Joe who thinks CLOSING time is at the second quarter, you better go back to school and learn your fractions. THERES A ING REASON ITS CALLED "CLOSING".
If you read my post, I did not DISS Lebron, i am argueing the fact that JOE says clutch and closing can be anytime during the game. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH KOBE or LEBRON.
Closing time is OBVIOUSLY at the end of the game. Keep arguing that closing time is at the second quarter. Keep looking like a dumbass.
If all you are going to do is put words in my mouth and throw names around, I am not going to do you the honor of responding to you until you can learn to post like an adult with the capacity for rational discourse.![]()
fine. This is my arguement. Answer this question.
Do you agree with JoeTait that you can be a "closer" or be called "clutch" at the 2nd quarter of a game? Yes or No?
And for the record:
1:44 LeBron James makes two point shot (Mo Williams assists) 98-93
The last FG for the Cavs tonight. Also the FG that gave them a 5 point lead late.
Closer and clutch are different things. If you are unwilling to define the term, you have no business getting so irate at JoeTait for having an opinion that differs from yours. It's an indefinite term and therefore has no specific value.
If we're going to go by Princeton's definition: (n) clutch (a tense critical situation) "he is a good man in the clutch"
Then it would appear that it is quite open to debate when "clutch" occurs. A three pointer to end the half could very well be a clutch shot in a close game. A single shot like that can change the momentum and entire at ude of a half of basketball. I think "closer" as the le of this thread suggests is much more focused on the very end of the game.
I would have to disagree with you. A three pointer to end the half, imo, isnt clutch. Like you expressed, clutch occurs in a tense critical situation. Knowing that there is another half of basketball to play isnt a critical situation. You still have plenty of time to make moves to get the win. In the final minutes, when the game is on the line is Clutch. Lebron made a clucth shot against GS last night. Kobe made a clutch shot last week against the spurs...problem is, so did Mason. Noone is going to say that Manu's 3 free throws at the end of the half (when he was fouled by Ariza) was clutch shots. Do you agree?
Thread bump for a game that was completely dominated by James.
I feel as if it was put together by LeBron and the Cavs. It just didn't have the feeling that Kobe's did, where it was just happening. I'm curious to hear what the "experts" have to say about it.
LeBron was going to actually try to out-duel Kobe, which he did try to. That's the thing that I don't like, he actually tried to outduel Kobe instead of just playing his game. These were the Cavs of last season and the season before that, not the Cavs of this season.
The only way to truly settle this is to have Kobe go back to Madison Square Garden and instead of just coming out on fire and going with it, he needs to just go all out and become Mr. 81 again.
But still, impressive. And in the end, Kobe is in the Madison Square Garden record books as the most points ever scored there.
I think you're overextrapolating and projecting too much into this game.. I can see what your'e saying, and it's possible the conpiracy theory that the Cavs and Lebron gathered to gether to steal the spotlight over Kobe's 61, is a little wacky.
It was a great game, individual performance, 52 points and a triple double to boot. It's not always about Kobe, Lebron was hot at the beginning of the game, the game was close and they won.
If Lebron was "aware of Kobe's 61" so be it. Other players used others as motivations for their own game all the time. Larry and Magic did it.
You Lakers fans are a trip. Seriously.
he didnt try to outduel kobe. he actually tried to contribute in ways other than scoring.
How old is Lebron?
kobe fans are actually more insecure than shaq x 100
When people say who scored the most in MSG, who will they say?
Patrick Ewing
no one will give a because mj > kobe
52/10/11 has to be the best statline anyone's put up this season.
It's extreamly stupid and unbelievably foolish to place Kobe with MJ, nomatter whether it's Jordan or Magic.
Kobe is as good as you are, but neither of you is or will be as good as either Jordan or Magic Johnson.
Kobe earns tons of dollars per year while you are miles away from Kobe in wealth. but I bet you're a good person, which makes you more valuable as a person than Kobe. Kobe's dollars can't and will never be able to redeem his sins.
I don't know why you hate Kobe so much, maybe you are the victim of his rape case...
I have nothing against Kobe personally and it's not fair to say Kobe is not a good player, but a good player isn't guaranteed to be a good person. Just take Halle Berry as an example... Lebron knows it's not a good habit to suck his fingers which is contaminated with bacterias, but he still accept that because it doesn't make him an unacceptable person, at least Lebron has never eaten . tmac is just a compared to Kobe but tmac either has never eaten though he himself is a .
Lebron has enough potential to make himself as great as whichever Hall of famer. but Kobe has prove that he can be as "great" as whoever we can think of.
When people say who scored the most in MSG, who will they say?
