avery johnson and david robinson were your only oldest players
The Spurs had a good amount of older/AGING vets and it didn't effect them so much...they even beat up on a younger more talented team in the Blazers. Hmm, guess they were just better prepared/coached than most of the other teams that year, including the Lakers.
People claim if my Grandma had a set o' balls, she'd be my Grandpa.
Who gives a ? It was a shortened season, they decided to play it out, and Spurs won.
The asterisk bull is old and worn... almost as much as the Gasol trade crying. Spurs were champs... Gasol's a Laker... the rest is transparent, whiny bull .
Half of the team was retired within 2 years. You forgot Mario Elie, Sean Elliott, Jaren Jackson, Will Perdue, and Jerome Kersey. The only players under 30 who were in the rotation were Duncan and Rose.
I cheer for the name on the front of the jersey 1,000 times more than I do the name on the back.
It was long ago and I don't remember exactly where, but I think it was Torrance.
just like the rapist is old and worn!!??!! give me a break... as long these rivalries are still in place spurs fans and laker fans will never let these vulgarities go
This thread has morphed into comedy gold. Lakers_55 you really shouldn't take these ers so seriously, this IS SpursTalk after all. There is absolutely no moderation whatsoever. Please come back, you're one of the few Laker fans here who represent our fanbase with class (Lord knows I don't nor do I give a to).
That kid who keeps crying about Kobe being a rapist cracks me up so hard. He really believes that we care about that![]()
antonio daniels?
Daniels wasn't part of the playoff rotation. Kerr was the team's main backup PG. AD got very few meaningful minutes that whole run other than a stretch in the first half of game 3 of the Finals when the rest of the team played like crap.
You're reaching homie. Let '99 go already.
Lol your a complete stick 99% of the time, but that made me laugh.
I know most people here are mature and let that slide, but im only 20... soWow! You said that

What kind of place would this be if we were all civil like Lakers_55?
Not very exciting.
LoL....
This is just about the most entertaining thread in this board.
Keep it going!
BTW.....pego...
That (*) PJ laid on your team really affected you deeply, huh?
Looks like it really left a big scar.
He was just kidding, dude, and that Championship is just as "real" as any other.
Walk away, dude....just let it go...

Threads like this are why I love winning.
I lived in Los Angeles from '84 to '02.
I lived in LA from 63-66. I didnt like the Lakers then. I dont mind the Lakers now, except for Kobes love for being a butt head. There a fun team to watch when we play them. Or when the play against Boston. The Lakers remind me of our Spurs of ole. We had the talent on the court and on the bench. Add to that a coach who holds his own.
un ingbelievable.... you lived through the showtime era shaq and kobe era and never became a fan. EVEN Mychal Thomspon who the lakers traded for from san antonio came to la to push them over hump vs boston!!! wow just wow![]()
Well she did marry that guy with a small ....she's not the brightest bulb in the closet![]()
