    Come on; lots of cool norcal people in LA. I'll agree LA the city itself sucks: badass traffic, ty air, lots of poverty and crime, and stuck-up people. Still, the beaches, mountains, national parks, and San Diego all within a couple of hours drive make it an awesome place.

    Then again, pretty much any big city outside of San Diego sucks IMO, including San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas.

    have you seen the homeless just lounging in austin...i swear to god there is at least five bums sitting underneath every loop of IH35

    I don't doubt that the people there are mostly good people. I just didn't run into too many of them on my trips out there.

    ewing = 33

    people claim that you cannot justify a champion without a full nba regular season... the season had back to back to back games with hardly any breaks in between which can put a strain on older players i.e. Utah Jazz... a completed season with timely rests and breaks can determine a team depth, strength, and chemistry. also it can evenly determine who get HCA. technically Miami from the east should have made it to the finals of that year instead of knicks whom were an 8th seed
    The Spurs had a good amount of older/AGING vets and it didn't effect them so much...they even beat up on a younger more talented team in the Blazers. Hmm, guess they were just better prepared/coached than most of the other teams that year, including the Lakers.

    Who gives a ? It was a shortened season, they decided to play it out, and Spurs won.

    The asterisk bull is old and worn... almost as much as the Gasol trade crying. Spurs were champs... Gasol's a Laker... the rest is transparent, whiny bull .

    Half of the team was retired within 2 years. You forgot Mario Elie, Sean Elliott, Jaren Jackson, Will Perdue, and Jerome Kersey. The only players under 30 who were in the rotation were Duncan and Rose.

    some of you guys need to chill out though..don't get too mad about these Laker fans..just think about the fact that you guys are arguing with people that actually CHEER for A RAPIST..just chill out, and think about that for a second..you would have to be a pathetic human being to cheer for a rapist..let alone an adulterer with HIV..I'm embarrassed to even post in the same forum as these people..

    I don't know these people personally, so I can't hate them as people...I have a number of friends that are Laker fans as well, and I obviously like them since they're my boys..but I can't respect their morals if they cheer for the harm of women, and the spreading of a fatal disease..
    I cheer for the name on the front of the jersey 1,000 times more than I do the name on the back.

    This thread has morphed into comedy gold. Lakers_55 you really shouldn't take these ers so seriously, this IS SpursTalk after all. There is absolutely no moderation whatsoever. Please come back, you're one of the few Laker fans here who represent our fanbase with class (Lord knows I don't nor do I give a to).

    Daniels wasn't part of the playoff rotation. Kerr was the team's main backup PG. AD got very few meaningful minutes that whole run other than a stretch in the first half of game 3 of the Finals when the rest of the team played like crap.

    I lived in LA from 63-66. I didnt like the Lakers then. I dont mind the Lakers now, except for Kobes love for being a butt head. There a fun team to watch when we play them. Or when the play against Boston. The Lakers remind me of our Spurs of ole. We had the talent on the court and on the bench. Add to that a coach who holds his own.
