cheaters never prosper
Hope bynum is ok, you never wish injuries on anyone.
Karma for the injury to Wallace right there.
Damn. I believe in karma to an extent so I kind of saw it coming, but with a big suspension or fine or something. When Kobe got him, I winced in pain and instantly felt pity, Bynum is about as lucky as Ian.
I felt bad for Kobe. Have you ever seen the pain in someone's eyes that you caused, but never meant to happen? It's a terrible feeling.
it would be ironic if Bynum isn't out for long, considering the ridicule Laker fans gave Paul Pierce last year..this would be worse..
I don't think the injury to Wallace was intentional on Bynum's part. But I do think it was a direct result of the way Phil Jackson has instructed his bigs to play. The refs have let a number of Lakers games get out of control, and I've been saying it for weeks - it was only a matter of time before someone got hurt. Wallace just happened to draw the short straw.
Wallace's injury probably wouldn't have occurred if the Lakers had been assessed a few other flagrants they deserved, earlier in the month. And Bynum should gotten a fine and a game or two suspension for the foul on Wallace - if for no other reason than the extent of the injury cause by the contact. (As opposed to hitting the floor.) By failing to take any action, the league is asking for more trouble.
That being said, I have a hard time wishing for anyone to "get what he deserves". Maybe I'm just not as good of a person as some of you, but if that concept got applied evenly, I would be in serious trouble.
Don't cheer for a knee injury. Hope that he comes back 100% healthy in time for the playoffs... and gets his ass handed to him by the Spurs. That's the best kind of justice.
How long is he out for? Do we know yet?
I know it's just a sprain so probably just a few weeks?
Says you, but if any player does something that dirty, they deserve to have it reciprocated.
The only thing that sucks about the Bynum injury is that it was an accident and not the result of an opposing player whooping his ass.
Well now, I guess we will see if the Lakers implode or they band together. Either way, the Spurs can't worry about what is happening with them. All they have to do is focus on themselves and getting better with each game. If they do that, they will be right there at the end with the Lakers.
You're assuming way to much.
Phil Jackson said he's going to be out for "quite a while", but that's not saying much, since he likes to play around with the media..
it doesn't appear to be a major injury though, so I'd be surprised if it's more than 4-6..
Collapsed lung vs. injured knee.
Talking about karma!
Hope he's is okay, because if the Spurs meet them in the playoffs I don't want hear "But But but Bynum was out! if he wasn't out, the Spurs wouldn't have beat us!" from all the Laker fans
actually, if Bynum is out for the season(which he probably isn't), it's no longer a valid excuse, since he would officially qualify as "injury prone"..
Thanks for the kind words bro.
It's ironic but after scoping out the various message boards Celtic fans were the classiest bunch by far. Don't get me wrong they hate the Lakers with passion, but I think both sides want to face each other at full strength.
I'm hoping for a speedy recovery and a Finals rematch.
its really bad to see how much the east is dominating the west now..
Oh ! There's a shotblocking vampire available?
You left a bit on the bottom of his shaft.
Don't be mad because your pathetic fanbase is scared of the Lakers and secretly wish that Bynum stays out for the season because they know they can't beat them at full strength.
