And the Hornets are one of them. How is that hard to understand?
Spurs outlast another franchise.
And the Hornets are one of them. How is that hard to understand?
I know the owner/GM might say that, but it's bull when they do. Sarver has said that too many times to count.
I'm just saying you said it must suck to be a Hornets fan because they can't make it "in this economy" and the truth is a majority of the NBA teams can't "make it" "in this economy".
When in reality no it sucks to be a Hornets fan because the Owner/GM have no plan and no ing clue on how to come up with one.![]()
HEY, welcome to my world!!!!
Exactly! Skin flint tight ass owner and a GM who's "master plan" changes every 4 months. At least I can take comfort in the fact when we sell off our picks they only end up being players that are stupid enough to smoke weed at a rookie seminar and don't become Loul Deng, Sergio Rodriguez or Rajon Rondo.
Sorry about that you didn't deserve to have more salt rubbed in your gapping wounds.![]()
i wanna see skip on first take's reaction. he said hornets and spurs were better than the lakers this year and said it again today before this trade happened
You know what's weird? Every time I see SpursDynasty right something down, I imagine that it's Skip Bayless typing.
*is personally relieved he will never have to see another Paul to Chandler oop over the entire Spurs team*
Wow. I knew the Hornets were disappointed with a 30-20 start, but to trade their only 7 footer? Tyson Chicken wasn't a 20/10 player or anything, but a 7 footer on the floor does make a difference. The Hornets won't get out of the first round now.
I keep thinking they must have another trade lined up for a big man with a cheap or expiring deal.
soo true. skip LOVEs the spurs and likes the hornets
they have no one with trade value now. no one wants peja, paul and west are untouchable, posey nutt hugging has died down, and only one of some value is butler or peterson and they are minimal as well
It's a great day to be a Thunder fan lol. I'm not sure if tyson chandler was with the hornets or not when they were in OKC but he'll be fine here. And it doesn't hurt either that they didn't even get a first rounder from the thunder for him either.
I wonder if westbrook can be imitate the wonderful lob passes that paul did.. Probably not.
I mean Skip Bayless loves the Spurs, hates LeBron, hates the Lakers, likes the Hornets. I need to find out if SD has a hard on for Brett Favre then I would know for sure.
come on man. dont spill the can of beans here. you KNOW coming in this year the hornets with the addition of posey were contenders
New Orleans should have learned from the Spews. As soon as the injuries started to happen this season sit the whole team and go for the number one pick. Foolish Hornets.
Exactly....especially Wilcox.
People are so quick to judge before the players take the court with their new teams.
Wilcox is still young, and will probably benefit from having CP and DWest clearing up space for him. This was a trade the Hornets had to make since Tyson's cap hit next year would've made the Hornets pay the luxury tax with CP's 13mil kicking in.
Another thing I'm interested to see is Hilton Armstrong's development. At least he'll finally get more minutes to become a better center.
I think Houston should do it more often with all their injuries and all.
BTW when was the last time you guys got past the first round?
A fair bunch of NBA teams have been losing money for years. The difference is mostly in the owners: they used to be millionaires with plenty of liquidity available to inject, nowadays they're cash-strapped and they can't afford to lose even more money. How many months with a positive operating income had the Hornets had since Shinn created them like 15 years ago? Not a lot. He's been trying to sell shares of the team to reduce debt since he moved to New Orleans.
Anyway, Chandler has been horrific this season, he's one of the reasons why the Hornets are under-performing. If he doesn't improve his defence and rebounding, OKC will be overpaying.
I agree. It also doesn't help that there are questions if the state of Louisiana can come up with the yearly payments that they pay to the Hornets and Saints.
Actually that's the thing that the Hornets will miss the most. Without him they go from being Charmine soft to ing wet Kleenex soft.![]()
I'm glad Deuce was released. Pierre Thomas deserves the starting job and the Saints are over the cap anyway. We need to rebuild our defense, not keep guys past their prime.
I'm kinda disappointed about trading Chandler since I wanted West gone, but we needed to make this trade. I think we will get more production from Wilcox/Armstrong/Smith combined than with Chandler. We're still better than teams like the Mavs, Rockets, etc. Chandler wasn't playing well this season and he's been injured as well. Peja's salary killed us. We couldn't trade him so we had to trade Chandler.
