Wait. A press conference with the Spurs on the road? So a press conference in Detroit? Or is RC/Manu going to handle it?

Trade deadline day = EPIC FAIL

Yeah if there was a trade, one of the NBA beat writers or columnists would've reported it
Screw that!
How about a get together for tonight's game?
Or how about a celebration to Barkley's return and an
end to Payton's broadcasting career.![]()
They are talking about this trade right now on the ESPN Trade Deadline Special!
Apparently he would![]()
just an fyi
the magic got rafer alston
I think this has more to do with a trade and not a serious Manu injury. If it was Manu related, I don't think that would come until a bit later. They'd want to look at the injury THOROUGHLY and make sure 100% before releasing anything.
Unless of course it's something extremely serious like a fracture... but think that would have gotten out already.
Today is either Christmas eve or December 31, 2011.
Maybe the Spurs didnt want anything out until the Press Conference.
Given the rarity of a Spurs presser and the fact that the Spurs are in Detroit, I had remained hopeful that the p.c. was intended to be one to announce the acquisition of a player who would have no travel issues to stop him from attending.
Optimism isn't always realistic.
I just hope manu is healthy.....that's all I want!
so basically, today news are:
1. no help for TD in the paint
2. a looming "manu is out for the rest of the season" press conference
waouh, that's quite powerfull...
But it's usually much more fun
Feeeeeed the sheeeeeed
Maybe they're going to announce that Manu has hairloss
Yeah, that could go a lot of different ways.
One would think. What would be the rush in announcing that Manu is out for the year? Couldn't that wait until the team returns home?
That helps take the edge off a BIT, but still...ugh.
I like your optimism though.
If the Spurs have a press conference regarding a trade, it's always after the player has arrived in town and passed the physical. The Spurs, IIRC, have never done it differently.
Unless it's more than just an injury.
Other than the OP, has anyone else heard about a press conference?
The people (person?) reporting a press conference wasn't even sure there was going to be one...
