I saw his Press Conference,

he seems like he's sincere and hopefully he has no problem getting comfortable with our team.

I heard he has a reputation for being a good enough guy off the court, so maybe his environment will shape his play, being next to winners like Bruce, Tim and Tony and the Greatest PF of all time he'll say "i better not slack off on defense"

I' hope he proves the(us skeptics) wrong and turns out to be an asset for us on both ends this time. I don't want this to be another signing that ended up not getting any good results.

Drew Gooden declared himself "fit to play" if new coach Greg Popovich needed him to play on Friday against the Wizards.
Gooden, who has been dealing with groin and abdominal strains in the past month, sounds like he's ready to go in a championship environment. If he's not injured he's a less risky option than he was prior to this report, but we still wouldn't bet the farm that he distinguishes himself in standard-sized leagues over the next month or so.
