J.J. Moses was better than Crayton will ever be.
The only way DallASS, the city of losers, will ever get another championship in any sport is to get rid of the ty owners up there in flatland, starting with Jerry 'Asshole' Jones and Mark 'The ' Cuban.
Spurs coach Pop and owner Peter Holt, OWN little Markie!
It amazes me even today that both of them nitwit's ever became billionaires. They come across more as idiots in an insane asylum!
You know JJ was the owner of the team when they won the three in the early 90's right?
That was when he had the Genius Jimmy Johnson telling Jerry 'The Idiot' Jones who to draft and who to trade for. When Jerry let his 'Gigantic EGO' get in the way to the point of Jimmy getting the out of Dallas it was a fatal blow. Yes Switzer coached them to one more Super Bowl but, it has been a bunch of extremely lean years since then. The best thing for the Cowboys is to get rid of Jerry Jones, Tony Romo and Wade Phillips.
Cowboys, Sensabaugh agree to deal
The Dallas Cowboys added much-needed veteran depth at safety on Tuesday, reaching a one-year contract agreement with unrestricted free agent Gerald Sensabaugh, who previously played all four seasons of his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Sensabaugh, 25, should compete for the starting job at strong safety. The Cowboys last week released Pro Bowl strong safety Roy Williams. The team's No. 3 safety, Keith Davis, a standout special teams player, is currently an unrestricted free agent and might not return to the Cowboys.
If Sensabaugh, who is a physical player but lacks some coverage skills, doesn't win the starting job alongside free safety Ken Hamlin, he will be a solid reserve safety. Dallas has very little experience at safety besides Hamlin.
The agreement with Sensabaugh, financial details of which were not yet known, was originally reported by the Dallas Morning News and confirmed by sources close to the player.
A four-year veteran, Sensabaugh is coming off his best season as a pro, yet the Jaguars made little attempt to re-sign him. He started 13 games in 2008 and had 70 tackles, four interceptions and eight passes defensed, all career highs.
In college, Sensabaugh played three years at East Tennessee State. He transferred to North Carolina for his senior season, after Tennessee State disbanded its program. He was Jacksonville's fifth-round choice in the 2005 draft.
The four-year veteran has fought through injuries and some off-field problems during his career. He has played in 50 games, with 24 starts. For his career, Sensabaugh has 118 tackles, six interceptions and 11 passes defensed. He appeared in only two games during an injury-shortened 2007 season but was healthy again last season.

Heeyyy, glad to see someone actually wants to post things about the teams moves other than TO.
This guy is in the Roy Williams mold, and I doubt he will be the starter. Boys still need to bring in a another player at the safety spot, although at this point, I'm not really sure any of the players left out there will be the answer. Hopefully they draft someone.
I am hoping the Cowboys can land a good known WR in FA. Rams are suppose to be letting go of Holt this week. I am not sold on R. Williams.
I am still guessing Pacman is coming back. Which is not a bad decsion if they do it. I really would like to see if the Boys can get Brooks or a real strech Jason Taylor.
Where on earth would you have gotten the idea that Pacman's coming back? Stranger things have happened, but AFAIK the team has completely severed all ties to him. Besides, he was horrible as a player.
I'm hoping we get Davis back, even if he had that really screwed up missed tackle last year.
Completely agree. If he had produced, I might have been able to get past all the off the field stuff. But as it is, he brought absolutely nothing to the table as a player.
Oh wait I thought you were talking about Jenkins. What missed tackle are you referring to?
Yah, that was Jenkins - that happened like 3 months ago, can't expect me to remember it all!
What Jenkins did is the equivalent of short-arming a pass. I'm willing to forgive him for it and give him a shot to start, but if he does it again I'll be the first one calling for Jerry to Swervin' Curvin his ass. He and that other kid, I think his name is Ball, are aggressive defensive backs with some talent and some courage, which the Cowboys need.
No way in that Pacman is ever coming back. If they cut a guy like TO who causes distractions but actually produces then there is no way they take back a distraction who does jack on the field.
Sensabaugh is a nice look emergency 3rd safety, but if come opening day he's starting the Cowboys are going to be looking at problems defending the pass yet again.
Is Patrick Crayton gonna be at the helm during Razorback formation? I know he played some QB in college but............he's Patrick Crayton.

Competing Cowboys
Spagnola: A Whole Lot Of Battling Already Going On

IRVING, Texas - Give Tony Romo credit. He saw this coming a long time ago.
Back in early March, way before any of these 12 OTA workouts had been conducted or the NFL Draft had been held. Must have been right around the time in mid-March the Cowboys officially began their off-season strength and conditioning program.
We bumped into each other in the hallway, and he casually mentioned the amount of compe ion he sensed already was percolating so early in the off-season. And compe ion not just to make the next 53-man roster at The Ranch, but to either keep or possibly earn starting jobs or high-profile roles on the team.
No sacred cows, was sort of his unspoken message, and he apparently was including himself in that group. And I can remember him saying something like, "And that's really good for the team," leaving me with one of those Huck Finn I-really-do-know-more-than-you-think smiles.
Maybe he does. At least he did this time.
Because with the off-season workouts starting to wind down, those 12 OTAs in the books, and culminating in next week's three-day (five practice) mini-camp, the compe ion for starting jobs, complementary roles and spots on the roster seems to be at an all-time high - a coach's dream, normally relieving him of those day-to-day motivational chores. Guys' pride, drive and self-preservation instincts take care of that.
OK, I'm not saying this is taking place at every position. There are some self-evident truths on this roster. Romo will be the starting quarterback and Jon Kitna the backup. DeMarcus Ware will play 68 out of every 70 defensive snaps. Bradie James is your starting inside linebacker, Terence Newman your starting left cornerback, Jay Ratliff your starting nose tackle, Jason Witten your starting tight end, Roy Williams one of your starting wide receivers and four of five starters are set on the offensive line (Flozell Adams, Andre Gurode, Leonard Davis and Marc Colombo). There also is a pretty good chance Marcus Spears, Igor Olshansky, Keith Brooking, Anthony Spencer and Ken Hamlin will be starting, too.
But after that . . . you can almost see Wade Phillips rubbing his hands together, having the undivided attention of all the rest if they own an ounce of awareness in their souls.
"We're in a recession right now," Newman cleverly said the other day. "There's a lot of competing (for jobs) going on."
Start at right corner. Mike Jenkins might be the first-round pick, but no one is handing over the Anthony Henry-vacated starting position to him. He's battling neck and neck with last year's fifth-round pick, Orlando Scandrick. Sure you'd like the first-rounder to win, but over the four OTAs we got to watch, it's truly coming down to may the best man win.
Let's stay in the secondary, where chances are five jobs are safe: Newman, Hamlin, Jenkins, Scandrick and free-agent signee Gerald Sensabaugh, the projected starter at strong safety. After that, again, may the next best five men win. And by my count, there are eight guys fighting for maybe five spots, which includes holdovers Pat Watkins, Alan Ball and Courtney Brown; draft choices DeAngelo Smith, Michael Hamlin and Mike Mickens; and free agents Jerome Carter and Michael Hawkins.
There is no room for complacency, and again, it's only been four OTAs we've seen, and yet again, this is like intramural football - shorts and jerseys, no contact - but you already can tell how compe ive it is back there, those guys knowing not only is a starting job on the line, but also playing time available on the nickel and dime packages. And that doesn't even take into account those simply fighting for a spot on the roster. Better not cut any corners, uh, so to speak.
Even now.
And get this, the first thing Phillips said after Tuesday's workout when Ball filled in quite nicely for the missing Hamlin (out for personal business) was that he's "real compe ive . . . found that out the last couple of years; he's going to compete."
Let's continue.
How 'bout running back? Don't think those three guys - Marion Barber, Felix Jones, Tashard Choice - don't know these coaches aren't exactly convinced on how to get all three involved. They know there are some decisions to be made, roles to be filled. And my guess is, Barber being the perceptive guy I think he is, isn't taking any starting status or number of snaps for granted. Plus, he doesn't have What's His Name around telling him to invoke his Pro Bowl status.
So guarantee you, come training camp, those guys will be running as if they, too, are Keon Lattimore.
Next, wide receiver. My guess is 1½ spots are solidified: Williams starts at one receiver and there is a good chance Patrick Crayton starts at the other. But not guaranteed. If healthy, Miles Austin could have something to say about that. And if Austin isn't starting, don't think he's automatically guaranteed the third spot. Sam Hurd might have something to say about that.
And if either of those guys don't have a good preseason or neither, then their roster spots become susceptible to some guy without a job or out there on waivers. Same for Isaiah Stanback once he returns from knee surgery, or Travis Wilson, if he can return in time from what appears to be impending knee surgery. No one has any slack.
There is a job opening at nickel linebacker next to James, the one vacated by Kevin Burnett's free-agent departure. Bobby Carpenter is there now, but that's more of an opportunity than a guarantee. The Cowboys know Brooking has played the spot in the past and drafted Jason Williams with their first pick this year (third round) to play the spot in the future, if not sooner. Carpenter probably senses a former first-round pick better claim more than a special teams job in his fourth season if he expects to be around.
So no days off there.
Maybe left guard. In bent starter Kyle Kosier is making triply sure his surgically repaired foot is ready to be stepped on or step on anything again. He's purposely being held out of these no-pad drills to put more distance between surgery and necessary contact for those repaired bones and ligaments. That means Montrae Holland is getting the opportunity of a career to showcase just what he can do this off-season. And offensive lineman Pat McQuistan, working behind Holland now at left guard, surely realizes entering his fourth season it's put-up or shut-up time.
No margin for error there, and the same can be said for Doug Free, entering his third season, since the Cowboys spent their second draft choice this year on fellow tackle Robert Brewster.
There is more. Who is the backup nose tackle, Junior Siavii, Jonas Seawright, the rehabbing Tim Anderson (foot) or a player to be brought in later?
The third tight end spot is Mississippi River-wide open. There's Rodney Hannah, whose broken finger has him sidelined and opening up valuable practice snaps for sixth-round pick John Phillips, recently-signed Scott Chandler and rookie free agent Jamar Hunt. No one has even a foot in the door there.
And one more vital responsibility for sure is up for grabs: backup defensive ends. The good money would be on Spears and Olshansky to start. But how many backups are you going to keep? Last year the Cowboys kept two, Hatcher and Bowen. But here comes Dixon, last year's practice squader, breathing down their necks with the coaches knowing he's a first-year guy and they're in the final years of their contracts - meaning not much job security.
Now it goes without saying rookie quarterback Stephen McGee better not have too many bad days if he plans on convincing the Cowboys to keep three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster. Then, too, last year's special teamers Justin Rogers and Steve Octavian will have their hands full making the 53-man roster with all those rookie linebackers lurking around.
And none of this even accounts for all the Julius Crosslins, Kevin Ogletrees and Ryan Gibbonses out there, knowing every day they must make a name for themselves or else.
Admit it, this makes you smile, and what most have been calling for over the past few seasons: no free lunches. Better work hard and produce, or else. Better be team-oriented or else.
We have What's His Name as Exhibit A.
We have the now other Roy Williams as Exhibit B.
We have Tank Johnson as Exhibit C.
We think we have Pacman Jones as Exhibit D.
Who might be Exhibit E? The NFL has been known to not-so subtly make a point.
Just know pre-snap mistakes, even in these pad-less practices, no longer are tolerated, either. The coaches just get them another guy for the do-over. We've seen Jason Witten replaced for false starting. Name the starting offensive lineman. James tells me, "Romo, too." And nothing wrong with Romo ing the ball in Troy Aikman-like disgust when a play breaks down at the snap.
Good stuff. Needed stuff. Send any money-induced or big shot-induced complacency over there, to the infamous but now under repair "asthma field."
A 9-7 team three of the past four seasons, and one with no playoff victories for the past 12 seasons - longest stretch in this expansions franchise's long, proud history - has no time for that.
Let the compe ion continue.
