enough is enough: Chris Paul or Deron Williams?

1) D-Williams played one year longer in college compared to Paul. Who knows what Paul might have done his junior season.

2) CP3 doesn't have too much to work with in the half court. Only a pick n roll with West and the princeton offense without guys who can create their own shots. How good were West and Chandler before Paul became their teammates? Okur and Boozer established themselves before coming to the Jazz.

3) Parker's Spurs beat Williams' Jazz 4-1 two years ago. What does that mean? At least we took the Spurs to 7 games. The Jazz beat an 8th seeded team to get to the WCF. Jazz were lucky until the Spurs steamrolled them.

4) CP3 is putting up historic numbers. Not great, but historic. No comparison. Most triple doubles in the league and he's only 6'0.

Those 3 guys played with stacked teams. All-Americans. Who did Paul have on his Wake Forest teams? Erik Williams? How many other of his teammates have gone to the NBA? Even Williams had Luther Head and Dee Brown on his team.

Again, how good were they before they had Paul as teammates? Peja isn't the same player he was in the past. Posey? Posey? Are you kidding me? He provides no offense except a few wide open threes. Give me a break. Despite dropoffs from Chandler, Peja, and West, CP3 is having a better season and the team isn't too far off last season's pace.

Doesn't matter what Spurs team lost to whoever. The Lakers beat the Jazz in 6. CP3 put up monster numbers against the Spurs. He was unreal until Game 7 where the whole team struggled especially West and Chandler who suffered serious injuries late in Game 5.

But none of those arguments for Williams can be proven. It's a matter of opinions. Both the Jazz and Hornets lost in the WC Semis so the playoff argument is a wash. Jazz did go deep two seasons ago, but the Hornets were ravaged with injuries to everyone including Paul himself. Plus, the Jazz were fortunate to face a 8th seeded team to get to the WCF before losing 4-1 to the Spurs. There's no proof that Williams has been more successful than Paul in their young careers. In fact, Paul seems to be the one with more success.

How do you expect Lebron to beat a great team 4 times by himself. He has role players around him until this season with Mo Williams. Again Magic had two Hall-of-Famers on his team. He is a top 5 player in history with a basketball IQ unmatched, plus making clutch shots like Game 4 at Boston, but he did have some help. Unfortunately, Paul is carrying this team night in and night out and its not gonna change anytime soon.
