    Good game.

Spurs are a tough team to beat at home. The Lakers managed to lead the entire game, very impressive.

Hill did better than Mason did on Kobe and Hill is like 3 inches shorter.

That D by Hill on that last shot of Kobe's was great. Hill doesn't have the height, but neither does Mason. Still I love Hill's fight and aggressiveness on the defensive end.

No if your starters could play 48 mins... yeah, but they cant..Its the in NBA.

Just shows how much your bench is overrated, but it does not matter because you have your "starters"

In 02 me and buddy did that to all the Laker fans. It's a shame that there are so many lil laker fans in SA. Supposedly there are more spurs fans in LA that laker fans in SA though. I believe it since I never met a real laker fan.

Another typical Laker game. We fought hard in stretches, but bottomline they intimidate us from the headcoach all the way down to the ballboy, and are a better team at this point. Pop coached a clusmy, reactive game as usual, while PJ sat smirking.

To beat in the playoffs, we would need to play flawless basketball. Don't see that happening, do you? I guess there's no shame in getting beat by a superior team, too bad it always has to be the Lakers however. It's our fate, I guess, to be Laker cannon fodder.

Refs in LA are my main beef sucking off the movie stars and Stern. A fairly called game in LA would make me happy.

Yeah...good thing for the Lakers tonight that Parker couldn't hit a FT to save his life, or the Spurs probably would have won. Kobe was, well, Kobe. it...see you all in the WCF!

Default when we had robinson and duncan why did we ever lose??

because stern would make sure one or the other was alwys in early foul trouble don't you guys remember?

We lost on the boards tonight 42 to 33.

For all the Bonner apologists (whott, et al): Bonner played more than 3 times as many minutes as Gooden.

Bonner got exactly ZERO (0) rebounds. Gooden got 4 in 3.5 minutes.

By that ratio, Gooden would have more than 12 had he played the same amount of minutes as Bonner.

That would 8 rebounds. And then the rebounding would be essentially tied.

And it's fairly obvious that rebounding was a major factor in the loss.

This ought to make the point clear: Gooden is a better choice than Bonner for our starters.

The Lakers are the team we have to beat.

What were you watching. Their getting there and by playoff time we'll be ready. I actually feel better after this game. They came out sleepwalking, But when they woke up we atleast went toe to toe. If not for an amazing shot by kobe they may still be playing. And if you can't see a problem with the calls tonight get some glasses

Edit: And as legendary as Duncan has been in his career, he's too damn soft around the basket. He gets hacked a lot, but that doesn't excuse the weak layups.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the FTs. I kept saying to myself when TP and Timmy kept missing at the line that those will cost the Spurs at the end. Timmy's missed bunnies made it even more difficult to take the lead.

It was because our backcourt sucked since a majority of the Robinson/Duncan years were without Parker/Ginobili

Yup...Spurs lost this game at the FT line...no way around it.

I'm still optimistic, the spurs did not show me anything to be worried about. They did not give up, they got it down to 2. Just some mistakes here and there cost us the game. But Lakers did not win this out of sheer talent. I still see a nice trophy for the Spurs this year.

No more Bonner. I think that could be a good idea starting Thomas and using Gooden more off the bench.

Bonner might be helpful against other teams, but I think he is pretty much bordering on useless against the Lakers. I really don't think he needs any minutes against the Lakers.

Sometimes games are won in the first quarter and tonight's game was the case.

However, they were some positive things to take from this game. The Spurs fought back for the rest of the game and got it two points.

Thomas and Gooden will help Duncan in the post. Tony Parker shows he can shrug off a bad first half and play well when it counted and they know they must shot better from the free throw line.

Manu's energy was needed tonight and that would have been huge.

The Lakers improvement by adding back Bynum is a lot less than the Spurs improvement by adding Ginobili.
