I didnt understand that either, Yao shoots 80+ % from the FT line too.

Oh well, good for the Spurs i guess.

Props to TD after starting the game in a tough way, but came out in the 2nd half more aggressive on both ends. TP of course gets props as well. Fin and Gooden also deserve huge props, especially Gooden. In his 1st real game as a Spur, he came out and provided some great energy, 13 points, some boards. Overall a very good game. Good win for the guys! On to OKC.

I dont think anyone cares about Brent Barry anymore.

Good luck to him, he didnt really do for us in his 3 years here.
Yes he did. He was big in the 2005 playoffs. Had a great game against Phoenix in the WCF game 1 and then played back up PG in the finals against the Pistons when Beno went into turnover mode.

A good bounce back win after Thursday night!

Gooden played well with 13 pts and 4 rebs. He is going to give that 2nd unit with Manu great balance and finally the Spurs have another big that can score in the post and hit a 12-15 jump shot. Yes!!

It's nice to see that Gooden is contributing to the team already. So far, he is playing better than I thought he would be.

Wasn't that Ime, at the end of the game, that blew past and left Artest wide open for a potentially game winning (tying?) three? Not awesome.

Didn't see the game just the box score : nice scoring for Drew 15 at 50% but only 4 rebounds ? Cherry on the cake Utah loss with 3 OT !!!

13 and 4 for Gooden. Not his fault. He only played 15 minutes.

That was Ime switching to guard Brent who had broken away. His man was picked up by another Spur ( I forgot who).

I'm pretty pumped. When we get Manu back we will have a of a bench offense. Keep the starting unit the same and let Tony and Tim do their thing, then you come off the bench with Gooden and Manu.

Too many times Manu gets bogged down playing with a second unit if both TP and Tim are on the bench. You pair him with Gooden and suddenly you have another big who score and operate on the low block that can take some defensive attention off Manu.
    Exactamundo.

I've been watching the Rockets lately and they are a good team that can't finish.

Nice win away for our boys.

Spurs-Rockets games are never pretty and it's usually the first one to 90 wins.

Also, it's another victory on the road after a tough loss on Thursday night.

    Absolutely....we will take it!!

Do people really think Gooden will continue to come off the bench into the playoffs? If he's contributing so well so quickly, I'm hoping he'll eventually start over Bonner.

Naw...he will be better in the 2nd unit with Manu. That will give the Spurs incredible balance. Manu on the wing and Drew in the post....wow!!!

Also, I believe Pop will rotate KT/Bonner in the 1st unit with TD depending on the matchups.

I can definitely see KT playing as a starter against the Lakers if they meet in the WCF instead of Bonner.

mAN I'd love to see Gooden over Bonner. However Gooden must work on his defense otherwise he won't see much time on the court with Duncan .
Bonner is there to spread the floor, KT is there to defend and Gooden is there to play low post game and so is Timmy

Gooden's 1-on-1 defense tonight was pretty good, he bothered Scola a lot and I think Scola posted him about 5 times and only scored 2 points.
