I'd rather choke to the defending champions than the 76ers.

Though I supposed it couldn't be any worse than your Lakers blowing a 14 or was it 18 point lead and the game to the 76ers,a borderline .500 game when they could've won going away.
I'd rather choke to the defending champions than the 76ers.
And a 10 point lead with 4 minutes to go against the Spurs....and a...well...lots of those this year.
DD
The Rockets blowing a 17 point lead in the 4th is probably the biggest choke job of this season, but right behind is our debacle in Miami. 7 point lead with 50 seconds to play, then an 8 point lead late in overtime only to lose in 3 OT's. Not only did we play 3 OT's and give that game away, it cost us another game the next day in Orlando. Not too many teams can say a choke job cost them 2 losses.
No big deal. We are 1-1 on the season series with Boston.
You're dumb
It was funny, earlier in the game, my bro wanted Finley to shoot the T instead of Mason. Well, Mason knocked it down and I just gave him a sarcastic grin. He bashes Mason a lot, and I tend to stick up for Roger.
Well, with just under 3 left in the game, Finley goes to the like and proceeds to miss both FTs....so I had to give my brother crap.....Sure wish it was Mason instead.
Then Parker goes to the line and misses 4 more. That was horrible. I cannot believe they choked that game away.
Oh and Dr. House, all of those fouls were legit. In fact, the refs were one-sided last night in favor of the Celtics. All the tic-tac fouls went the way of the Celtics. There were several no calls that went the way of the Celtics. Ray Allen smacks Parker in the face and they call a foul on Parker. Pierce shoves Bowen backwards 5 feet to clear space and no offensive foul.
In fact, if you look at all the calls the Spurs used to get, from 03-07......they are getting none of those calls anymore. The refs do not give them the benefit of the doubt. Duncan and Parker do not get the Superstar calls that other players get, even at home. I dont mind so much on the road, but damn, can't we get some home cookin. I know the NBA refs are biased. They have always been. I can accept them screwing over the Spurs when they go to LA, Boston, Cleveland, etc....but when they are in SA, I would like to see the refs give us the same type of homecourt bias. Ever since Duncan accidentally ran over Jack Neis, the refs have seemed to have it out for the Spurs. The whole Joey Crawford incident didn't help matters either.
No player attacks the rim as much as Tony Parker, yet he hardly shoots any FTs. He gets knocked down and slammed to the floor all game long and may get to shoot 5-6 FTs. I guarantee if Wade, Paul, or Lebron attacked the rim as often as Parker, they would be shooting 20 FTs a game.
However, the refs didn't cost the Spurs the game. The Spurs horrible 3pt shooting and missed FTs down the stretch cost the Spurs the game. The Spurs played one uva defensive game last night, but once again, just like in the OKC game, their offense cost them a W.
missing 6 free throws is choking away a hard fought victory.
letting a team come from 24 down and beat you at home, then two games later letting that same team blow you out by 41, now thats just losing to a much, much better team.
8 on 5 advantage? please. Parker had been attacking the rim all night and getting knocked to the ground. the refs finally called Boston for some fouls late in the game. You only think it was 8-5, cause the refs were letting Boston do whatever they wanted for almost the entire game without calling fouls.
They have 9!
The championships won in Minneapolis don't count.
I'm glad to hear that spurs fan are treating this like a meaningful game. This loss just put you 1 game ahead of the rockets. If you lose tomorrow it can be trouble. Suns might be out but if the spurs keep giving away games that are actually starting to count they could go from the #2 seed to the #9 like that. That lose against the sixers piss me off but were still #1 in the WC.
LMAO. Trust me they count. Even if they didn't last time I checked 9 is greater than 4.
The Celtics don't have 17 rings then.
2-0 against Boston =![]()
Why not? Last I check the BOSTON Celtics have 17 rings, the LOS ANGELES Lakers have 9 rings.
I guess since I'm a cardinals fan I should celebrate the championship they won in the 1940's as the Chicago Cardinals.
I know you Spurs fans are hyped about this year, since the spurs only seem to win in odd years. You're hoping that history repeats itself. Well last season Boston beat us in the regular season 2-0 and then in the finals we fell apart, bad time to do that. I admit they choked. But this season we beat them 2-0 and if we get them in finals we should beat them. Hey spurs fans I know what you're thinking but if you ask me your aspirition of another le seem more like a dream than reality.
You bought part of the team? Damn, you must be rich, can I borrow some money?
9 is greater than 0 but at least I don't lie to myself about how many les the team that plays in the city I live in has.
Wow so if thats the worse, than I guess its not so bad. Losing to the defending champs ain't so bad. They are the defending champs.
Maybe you are upset because during the finals the Lakers never even had a chance to choke since they were never in the games anyways.
