Artest brings toughness, which rudy does not
proof? Talking to 1 of the 2 best players in the league only to cause you and your team getting rammed up the ass is not "bringing toughness".

As he attacked the basket against the spurs yesterday, scored 24 points, and made michael finley look like pau gasol. I wouldn't expect a mavs fan to know what toughness is since charles barkley said the mavs were softer than tissue paper

1 game out of how many? It was that same mentality that lead Ron to bend LeBron over and turn him into his jail house . He's a compe or and after watching Tmac for the past 5 years, it's a breath of fresh air.

Oh, Charles Barkley said it and he only speaks the truth
Barkley is brutely honest.....and what he said was the truth. Allas is softer than toliet tissue soiled with runny baby . Your own freaking owner recognized it and had to call the team out, so it's not only Barkley saying that....the entire league shares that opinion, including your damn owner.

lmao, Gay >>>>> Artest and it's not even close.
Umm, no he's not. Artest is one of the best 2 way players in the NBA......Gay is just a stat padder who only cares about scoring and plays on one of the tiest teams in the NBA.

Rockets sign James White through 2009-2010 season

    Rockets to Sign White
    Through 2009-10

Last Edited: Monday, 23 Mar 2009, 1:52 PM CDT
Created On: Monday, 23 Mar 2009, 1:23 PM CDT
HOUSTON - The Houston Rockets have agreed to sign guard/forward James White for the rest of this year and for the 2009-2010 season.
"He will sign the contract (Monday) and the deal includes next year as well," said Bill McCandless, White's agent.
The club had signed White to a pair of 10-day contracts. The second was to expire Tuesday.
He has played in one game so for Houston scoring five points with one steal and one blocked shot.
"This is a testament that hard work eventually pays off and James White has worked very hard," said Bill McCandless, White's agent.
"There were those who believed James might not be able to play in the NBA but he has really paid his dues which included playing a year in Europe."
McCandeless said White was able to show the Rockets what he is all about.
"It was a given James is a world-class athlete and the Rockets were really sold on all his all-around game and they believe, with some work, he can be a guy who can be in their rotation."
The Rockets signed White out of the NBA D-league where he was averaging 25.9 points for Anaheim.
"James decided in the D-league to use his athleticism and go to the basket instead of settling for the jumper which has been critical to his development," McCandless said.
Prior to that White played in seven games, starting two, for the San Antonio Spurs during the 2006-2007 season. During that stint White averaged 8.3 points a game.

That was a bonehead move. Just imagine what this team would be if they didn't.
That was a freaking Van Gundy move and before Morey was fully instilled as the GM. I doubt that today Morey would do that.

    Ron gets a bad rap.
That couldn't possibly be because he got suspended for a year for fighting with fans ruining Reggie Miller's last shot at a le, and then the very next year had the nerve to demand a trade from the team he screwed over, could it?

Rudy is a nice player, but Battier is a great fit on this team. Even if we had kept him, he never would of gotten any playing time under JVG and would still be raw. I think we made the right choice, picking up a glue guy and ditching Stro's bloated contract. Wing scorers are a dime a dozen, but a lockdown defender is hard to come by.

Remember that Battier + Miller + Gasol was a playoff team, Gay + Miller + Gasol was a lottery team.

People do grow up and mature, all be it some later than others......is Ron always going to be "the guy who ran into the stands".

I know it's not near this level, but he's becoming this generation's Kermit Washington.

This is something people don't want to recognize.....they just look at stats thrown up on a good awful team.

, now it's Gay, Gasol, and Mayo all putting up very good #s........and headed to the lottery, AGAIN.

You're faulting a core consisting of 2 rookies and a 3rd year player for being in the lottery? Nice logic.

Nope, not faulting......just pointing out that just, because you put up good #s (which they all are), it doesn't mean you're a star like your dumbass is trying to paint Gay. So far Gay is just a more athletic Josh Howard, most nights, just empty stats.....no real impact on the game.

    Rudy Gay > Shane Battier

    That's not really close.

    Rudy Gay > Ron Artest

That one's a little closer, but Gay still wins.

Battier's impact on the game > than Gay.....defense every night/intangibles, all be it he's having a down year this year.....but so is Gay.

Rudy Gay < Ron Artest.......Ron is a two way player, but I don't expect you to know a about defense.
