Boston had better get healthier and figure out a way to win in Cleveland- something they haven't done in a long time- if they want to beat the Cavaliers in a series.
Against bad, average, or even pretty good teams, Cleveland's role players suffice. Against an elite team like Boston, those role players won't be good enough in a 7 game series, the offense will stagnate, and it will be the typical Cleveland offense we've seen for years known as "four guys standing around watching LeBron take on a quintuple-team."

You are discrediting Mo Williams a little too much. His presence will defintely be felt this year. Fact is, Lebron still nearly beat the Celtics last year with this 5-on-1 basketball, and hes clearly improved since then, and the team as a whole has as well.
JET >> motha in Mo Williams. Mo Williams isn't an over the top acquisition
I think Mo Williams is better player in the regular season than JET because he's more consistent. But JET is a game-changer, Mo Williams is not.
If you need to win a game JET > Mo Williams.
They are almost the same player, but Mo Williams is a better passer and finishes layups better.
I love JET to death, but Mo > JET.
I think a Cleveland/LA finals will only show that Kobe is still the man. Kobe looked like he had a point to prove last time they went head to head. But I think Lebron will respond alot better than last time, but fall just short
With Lebron on your team, that doesn't matter as much. I'd take consistency. And its not like Mo is unreliable, or unable to be a game-changer, as he has numerous times hit big shots for the Cavs and led the team on massive runs, had 40+ point games, etc...
That's pretty much a guaranteed win for the Lakers. I'm rooting for Boston only because they can still beat LA.
The last thing we need is for all these y ass Lakerfans on this site to be able to brag about winning a ring. Then we'll have a bunch of Kobe>Jordan threads and other bull . Go Celtics for that reason alone. Garnett and Boston fans are already s after winning a ring, we can't take that away. Who cares if they get another, just make sure the damn Lakers don't get one.
Yeah, LeBron has pretty much made sure it's not really needed this year. But even LeBron has mismatches he can't overcome.
The best thing about Mo Williams is that he's super reliable but he doesn't play like The Man. The thing about JET is he'll go through long stretches of suckage.
But I've never seen Mo Williams with " , LeBron is sucking tonight, I'm gonna win this for him"
JET on the other hand, can literally bring the Mavs back from 20 down.
You guys forget that Mo has choked in almost every "big" game this season.
True to that. The Lakers don't need anymore rings, and while although Boston doesn't either, Laker fans are on a whole 'nother level of dom. Aside from that, there's all of like one or two Boston fans who post here regularly.
Mo has the ability to carry the team offensively when he's hot, and he also has the confidence to wave off LeBron and handle the basketball in crunch time. He will also take the big shot without hesitation, even on nights where it hasn't been falling to that point. I think he's very comparable to JET. The only question is how he'll perform in the Playoffs. But he's been cold-blooded all season.
Actually, Mo is the only guy who showed up when the Cavaliers got beat in Boston last month.
To be fair, how many times has Mo been in a position like that this year? The Cavs have been so good, that the majority of the games they lost, were games where the whole team was simply off... games that all teams go through from time to time.
Considering how similar he is to Jason Terry was in his first year with the Mavs(playing style, no playoff experience, shown a cold-blooded sprit through his career) and pretty much won the Rockets series by himself, I'd say the odds are looking good for Mo.![]()
He clearly doesn't know what he is talking about. He also was talking about how Cavs rely on Pavlovic.![]()
Against the Lakers, Lebron was going to get stopped at all costs. Lakers wanted anybody other than LeBron to beat them.
This was the time for Mo to go for 30 points. But he went for his average.
As I said, Mo is a super duper reliable player. You can pen him in for 18 points a night. But when you need him to go for 30, I haven't seen him deliver.
On Jet's side, I've seen him come back like a friggin' storm against the Lakers just a couple of weeks ago.
To be fair to Mo, it's very, very rare that it's needed because the Cavs have been blowing out teams. But I would personally take JET in a Game 7 over Mo, because it just MIGHT be needed.
Bye bye![]()
Oh great, he showed up once in a game they lost.
How about both Lakers games? And the season opener against the Celtics? and against Orlando?
Mo is much more lethal from behind the arc than JET FWIW. They're very similar players though. I was pondering other day about how Mavs 2-15 is not muc worse (perhaps better) than Cavs 2-15 but the Cavs have the better superstar and more structure, defense, and chemistry than our guys.
Cleveland is 61-13 for a reason guys! Efficient on both ends of the court. They have a load of 3-PT shooters a lot of good defensive big men and the best player in the game. Their lack of interior offense is kinda disturbing but I think they can get away with it due to the Lebron factor. This is a much different Cavs team than years past, and it shows in the results.
Home court plays a big role in teh Finals too IMO, if they get there.
The Spurs had home court in all of their series. The Mavs won the '06 le w/ home court. Lakers had HC during their 3-PEAT. Only exception is the 2004 Pistons in the post-JOrdan era.
Boston has a better chance of beating Cleveland than LA.
I believe the East will win the le this year one way or the other.
You guys forget that Mo has choked in almost every "big" game this season.Boston was a "big" game. You said Mo choked in "big" games. I showed you a "big" game in which he didn't choke. Those goalposts heavy when you move them?Oh great, he showed up once in a game they lost.
