Nope, he thinks we just didn't hit shots.
If JV was the answer at backup PG, why didn't he get minutes during bulk of the season?
Madness.
I hate trendy internet speak, but the phrase "Epic Fail" describes Pop to a T.
Nope, he thinks we just didn't hit shots.
Pop is playing with the cards he was delt, got Ginobili back with 10 games to go and is trying to create a lineup (and chemistry) on the fly, I want to know who in the can do that with 10 games, please someone show me an example.
Well Jazz-Hornets tonight: Go Jazz.
And Blazers-Rockets tonight: Blazers have 27 losses, Rox have 28...Portland is on our ass for 3rd, but the Rox are in our division...hmmm who to go for?
Welcome to the forums Pop. I know it's you becuase only Pop would post all the time in bold letters.
16-23 in the 4th is almost as bad, they only had 2 quarters, and none where they scored more.
should have kept bonnar and manu on bench, mason is too young to be just toyed like that
I can't believe any of you would really pull the ref card in this one. We had more free throws than the cavs.
suck my (if your a female of course)![]()
It was 23-18. A of a lot better than 27-15.
that end of an era talk. This team can be fixed. People fully recover from tendonosis. Ginobli was getting into a groove right before his recent injury (remember how long it took him to adapt, it's going to take a few more games). Artest and Rasheed will be available this off season, replacing Bonner and Bowen. Finely and KT will probably be gone as well, freeing up space for a youth movement.
I've been a big JV defender on this site, and I'm probably one of the first people to suggest that Pop use him as the backup point guard when Mason was looking so bad.
That said, Pop brought in JV and he wasn't even running the point! Why in the name of God and Sonny Jeebus would he do that? We know Hill can play defense, and he shoots at least as well as Vaughn does. What's worse is that he called timeout and DIDN'T TAKE HIM OUT.
i hope jon barry goddamn dies
Well..... .
I'd like to know where Finley was. he hit a couple of shots, then Pop didn't play him again. Instead, he decides to use Udoka and Bowen who couldn't hit the water if they pissed off a boat, and instead of using Hill at PG, he uses JV, who just isn't very effective these days. Gooden was one of the best players tonight, and Pop stopped using him on offense too. There was no way they were going to play good defense tonight, but Pop could have at least provided some hope with an offensive lineup.
Stupid yahoosports, didn't refresh itself enough, even when it said final.![]()
Bowen and Finley > Udoka
Gooden and Thomas > Bonner
Vaughn and Udoka should be getting ZERO minutes.
He had a front row seat while Lebron James scored 16 straight points in the first quarter. Too bad you missed it.
I hope we can do something this summer. I want us to win another le or 2 before our big 3 breaks up.
When I was in the Team Choice store the other day, I noticed the LeBron James jerseys were hanging right next to the Manu Ginobili jerseys...must be a sign...I agree...FTL...go Cavs!![]()
Yeah because the Spurs can afford Artest and Wallace, right? Also, Bonner is under contract, Finley has a player option and will likely stay, and KT is under contract, too. Unless you want to buyout all of those contracts for the Spurs, absolutely nothing you said will ever happen....maybe Rasheed, but that's it.
I couldn't believe it either when JV was STILL IN after that timeout. I thought they called the timeout to get Hill in.
Disappointing loss to be sure but it's not the end yet, still believe in the Spurs.
I'm out to drink some beers, enjoy the rest of your Sunday guys.
I think KT is doing an okay job coming off the bench both on offense and defence
Sure, but he is also a of alot better than the scrub Udoka, who decided to show up for a game or two this season, then he took a vacation again.
Bowen should be starting, Finley should be filling in when the liability that is his defense isn't as glaring, and Udoka should be scanning the want ads.
Gooden should be starting, Thomas should be coming in for spurts and using up his fouls. Bonner, while pretty good all-around, can't buy a call for the life of him and just costs the team opportunities, whether or not it's his fault.
If this game isn't Vaughn's swan song in the Spurs rotation, the coach needs a CAT scan.
