His disregard for his own health by refusing to rest in the summers has caused his body to break down at a fairly young age and I think he is done.
He has now taken away at least as many Championship opportunities (2006 Dirk foul, 2008 health, and 2009 health) as he has contributed to.
The Spurs need to move on.

I don't know if he's a bigger liability than he is an asset, It looks like that at the moment but if they can come back strong in the future and contend for another ring than I think you might change your opinion. Until then you got a point.

Manu has been the heart of the team and in irreplacable part of our le teams.
but the REALITY is is that his days of being a consistent, reliable contributor are DONE.
hes been injured the last TWO seasons and had nagging injuried before that even, and next year hes just gonna be a year older...
we can no longer count on assuming Manu will be a key contributor come playoff time, thats just the facts. i certainly want to keep him around, but honestly we need to start looking to bring in another perimeter slasher/scorer because if next years playoff hopes again depend on Manu being in prime shape, we are just fooling ourselves.
If you're talking about '06, then I'll say planar fasciitis costed us a 3peat. Then again, injuries happen to the best of them.
in '06 the league and the refs cost us the 3-peat.
If you guys don't want Ginobili, I think we can find room for yet another Spurs player over here
