According to ESPN.com, for right now, we are the #3 seed.
yes..because out of us, Houston, and Portland, we are the only division leader. If we win our division, and remain tied with both teams, because we'll win our division, we'll have the 3. Though I'd rather have the 4 against a team like Houston, and get LA in the second round...I'd like to play LA before the WCF..

Shut the up. That doesn't even come close to the bad calls in critical playoff games.

I'd give that one back right now to get the better, fair calls in the playoffs that we got screwed on in 2004 and 2006.

I DO NOT like winning like that.
    +1
    Well said.

The red light around the backboard did NOT go off. That's what the refs key off to make the late call.
That's what I was looking for. I heard the horn, but I didn't see the red light around the backboard light up. I really thought the horn was signaling the end of the game.

That rule needs to be changed though - all controversial calls in the final two minutes should be reviewable, which would stop bad blood like this.
I agree 100% Ruff. The only reason for the NBA to not have that rule is so they can do some shady business in games.

True, but I think Utah, Houston, or Portland all have a bigger chance of knocking LA out before they even get there. I think our chances are better against NOH and Denver/Dallas, just a little

I understand the rule states that. What I meant is the NBA needs to use common sense and change that rule. Clearly, the refs can't.

I'll take the win though. We have been on the other side of many calls. Don't you think it's about time we caught a break?
Definitely time we catch a break. Not to mention there were plenty of BS calls against our team tonight. This moves Spurs into 3rd!!

It was a bad ending - but I'll take it. Overtime would've been bad because the Spurs are playing again tomorrow night.

If it takes a screwed up call by the refs to beat the worst team in the NBA less than a week before the playoffs begin, the Spurs are in bad shape regardless. And before you mention Tim, remember Sacramento was missing their best player.
Exit is that way Ploto. Go to a Pacers board and talk about it there please.

according to Bill Land.....we are the 3 seed right now, but in order to remain the 3 seed....the easiest scenario is for us to win our last two games and Houston or Portland has to lose at least 1 game.

Manu being injured was not bad luck. It was utter stupidity and selfishness on his part.

if both SA and Houston wins out......they would be 54-28, 2-2 head to head, 10-6 vs division, 36-16 in conference....

    so who wins the Division?

Spurs have the tiebreaker over Houston, if I'm not mistaken.
