Bush and Greenspan caused the problem in 2001-2002, but Obama has put the nails in the coffin with this budget of his.

Comparing Obama's deficits Bush's deficits is quickly becoming like comparing the antic to a tugboat.

Glen beck was calling out Bush for the last 28 months or so of his presidency - starting on the border and really pounding him on the stimulus bill and bail outs. Many conservatives did the same thing.
Ehh his opposition to the Bush admin was moderate at best. No conservative talking head was calling out Bush like they are now calling out Obama. This reminds me of Republicans saying during the Hillary campaign "I would never vote for a woman to lead the country" then when Palin was named as the VP candidate, "This is a very empowering and uplifting thing for women!". Shoot me in the face. Anyway, hope the tea parties go well. Any opposition to taxes and government spending is fine by me.

I disagree... he was one of the most adamant. He was very open and direct about his dislike of Bush and the things Bush did. Of course he was on CNN then for his TV show as well and spoke to a smaller audience.

just vmore of the same old rabble-rousing, scare-mongering, hate-the-governement (but don't even mention the bankers) from the totally discredited Repugs and conservatives.

Rabble, tell us how it feels to be roused, and scammed, "Over and Over and Over".

CNN Correspondent Claims Tea Parties 'Anti-Government,' 'Anti-CNN'
By Julia A. Seymour (Bio | Archive)
    April 15, 2009 - 15:57 ET

CNN is finally covering the tea parties - by attacking the participants. After anchor Anderson Cooper made an obscene sexual joke about attendees, CNN correspondent Susan Roesgen rudely interrupted one of the protestors and slammed the event for being "anti-government," "anti-CNN," and "not really family viewing."

Roesgen asked a man holding his toddler, "Why are you here today?" The man started to respond saying, "Because I hear a president say that he believed in what Lincoln stood for. Lincoln's primary thing was he believed people had the right to liberty and they had the right..."

But Roesgen cut him off him, saying, "But sir, what does that have to do with taxes? What does this have to do with your taxes?" She continued asking questions over his as he asked her to "let me finish my point." One crowd member was heard to yell "shut up" to the Roesgen.

When the man finished his statement about people having the "right to the fruits of their own labor" and "government should not take it," Roesgen began arguing with him again and other protesters began to get upset.

Roesgen backed away claiming that "you get the general tenor of this," tea party. "Anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox and since I can't really hear much more and I think this is not really family viewing. Toss it back to you Kyra," Roesgen concluded.

Phillips followed by calling that assessment "a "prime example of what we're following across the country."
This is a talk radio crowd..

There were far more people participating in the Peace Rallies during the Iraq war than tea-baggers today. I thought republicans didn't like protests?

The reporter is rude and condescending and won't even let the guy she's supposed to be interviewing finish a sentence - and yet you're laughing at the crowd? I suspect this is just the type of coverage the mainstream media will give the Tea Parties. That reporter's elitist snobbery came thru loud and clear. But I wouldn't expect anything different from CNN.

I think she was being quite friendly with them.

I like how she says it's organized by conservative groups while a man holds a sign that reads "Republicans suck too".

    The Journalist's Creed

I believe in the profession of Journalism. I believe that the public journal is a public trust; that all connected with it are, to the full measure of responsibility, trustees for the public; that acceptance of lesser service than the public service is a betrayal of this trust. I believe that clear thinking, clear statement, accuracy and fairness are fundamental to good journalism. I believe that a journalist should write only what he holds in his heart to be true. I believe that suppression of the news, for any consideration other than the welfare of society, is indefensible. I believe that no one should write as a journalist what he would not say as a gentleman; that bribery by one's own pocket book is as much to be avoided as bribery by the pocketbook of another; that individual responsibility may not be escaped by pleading another's instructions or another's dividends. I believe that advertising, news and editorial columns should alike serve the best interests of readers; that a single standard of helpful truth and cleanness should prevail for all; that supreme test of good journalism is the measure of its public service. I believe that the journalism which succeeds the best-and best deserves success-fears God and honors man; is stoutly independent; unmoved by pride of opinion or greed of power; constructive, tolerant but never careless, self-controlled, patient, always respectful of its readers but always unafraid, is quickly indignant at injustice; is unswayed by the appeal of the privilege or the clamor of the mob; seeks to give every man a chance, and as far as law, an honest wage and recognition of human brotherhood can make it so, an equal chance; is profoundly patriotic while sincerely promoting international good will and cementing world-comradeship, is a journalism of humanity, of and for today's world.

I never really found him that adamant...but he did have Ron Paul on the show a few times so that was nice. I'm going against my religion and watching fox news right now and the tea party in downtown SA looks pretty huge. Not just Republicans there either thankfully.

The Iraq war was not justified; therefore the spending on it was unjustified.
That is your opinion. We've been over this countless times. Must we again?

At the time, an overwhelming number of Americans supported it. Congress voted for it including most democrats.

Please acknowledge that as a truth.
