Actually, there is a shift in this country, mostly among younger people, towards socialism. Only 53% of people in a recent Rasmussen poll prefer capitalism.

Probably not because I haven't been a regular participant in here for some time. What I've learned is that the distribution of nuts across the ideological spectrum is quite uniform.

I'm not too worried about Obama, seeing as that he actually has a grasp and command of the English language and isn't riding daddy's carpet to the White House regardless of how incompetent he may be. There's a huge, noticeable difference between the two, and if you're attempting to attack Obama on that, you're so unbelievably hypocritical you're not really worth responding to (but most of the sensible posters on the board knew this already). Bush was easily the most inarticulate President of the past 60+ years. But keep up the anti-intellectualism rants. It suits you guys so incredibly well.

this is getting old already. it's disingenuous when somebody says that because you went to a tea party the government views you as an extremist. that's all ive been hearing these last 2 days on talk radio.

Then last night Mark Gallagher went on a rant about how unprofessional Anderson Cooper was when he made the "it's hard to talk when you're teabagging" comment... then immediately insinuated that he's a having a gay relationship with a "good looking hispanic male" ... all the while saying there's nothing wrong with being gay... but it's so easy to see through all this bull .

the tea party's were cool for what they were i guess... but when you have Newt Gingrich pimping American Solutions every 2 sentences, Joe the Plumber as a speaker, and other Republican/Conservative minds as guests, it quickly loses any credibility it could have had as a bipartisan protest. I went to the one in San Antonio and yes it was mostly anti Obama people... they were cool people... but it was less about taxes and more about venting on Obama being president.
