George Hill's play in this game confirms that Pop was dead wrong in the two related moves he made as the season wound down:

    1. Sitting Hill, and losing out on his defense and ability to penetrate
    2. Playing Mason as back-up PG, essentially ruining his game (spot-up shooting) that was so effective early in the season

This, more than Matt Bonner's play, has been the most instrumental in the pathetic play of the supporting cast.

I agree with this so much. They were playing so well early in the season and then Popovich tried to fix what wasn't broken.

    Fantastic overreaction.

Pop made a call you didn't like. The depleted Spurs are going to lose in the first round. Therefore you throw out all of the success of the past 10 years and call Pop a moron.

    Flawless logic.

It will never happen. Pop will be here as long as Duncan is. Along with the Tim and Manu injury, he was the single worst thing to happen to their playoff hopes. His for brains coaching seemingly came out of left field too, which is just so weird. I'm afraid that it might carry over into Duncan's remaning seasons, which would be such a shame.
