Don't see that. Maybe a risk off the court if he hasn't mended ways but on the court he seems like a 100% Pop type player.
Spurs are going to have to get a little creative. They can't afford to sit back and wait for the boy scouts to sign up.
That's an understatement. He'd be in the doghouse after the first workout session of the first day of training camp.

Agreed, everyone is saying we need an athletic big next to Duncan, you're not gonna find many big men more athletic than him.
This will do wonders for the Spurs street cred.
They need a drug addict with tats.
I saw him in Euroleague Final 4, he made an impressive game.
Anderson > Bourousis huh?![]()
What players Spurs players are you watching? As far as at ude, the closest analog would have been Cherokee Parks, a one year Spur.
As far as actual basketball skills, he has very few, and he'll be 31 in July, just about the time the physical skills roller coaster starts it's "down" plunge. That's where it gets ugly for players who coast/get by on athleticism.
But he's always coked up. He'll never decline, physically at least.![]()
Watching the Mavs - Nuggets?

Damn, he was a beast today. Pop would be crazy to not at least show interest. I'd rather have Byrdman than McDyess or Sheed. He seems to be the closest there is to a Dirk-stopper in this league.
Yeah why have a power forward that gets 24 and 12 in aplayoff game vs the Cavaliers.
Unreal
He'd be damn good on the Spurs starting next to Duncan. He's a shotblocker who, unlike Camby, actually makes game-altering blocks. He doesn't just survive off of "I'm not guarding my man so I'll come over here and block a point guard" type of worthless blocks. He's been this productive all season long.
But .......... I just don't see it on the Spurs. Even if he's changed, he was a meth head not that long ago. He's still more of a freelancer than Pop likes. He'll be a player many teams consider. And he's old enough that giving him a long-term contract is questionable.
I'd love it but I don't see it.
Spurs went after JR Smith so there's hope.
Birdman will be the one I'll be bummed about when the Spurs don't sign him.
So you want the Spurs to stay old as dirt? Unreal.![]()
They didn't go after JR Smith this summer when Smith was easily the most talented player in their price range. They went after Smith before he really turned crazy, killed his friend, etc.
Smith was who I was hoping for last season. I like to think not going after him was because they knew that Denver would match an MLE offer and tie up their MLE.
I think spurs know know after their first round exit they might need to gamble on a person
anderson would be a great one to do that with
it be a good sign....if he s up, we can always blame it on the meth
well i'd love to get him! he played great today, he had what 4 blocks??
Buy high, so to speak.
Which they would have done, and would have waited until the last minute to do so, if for no other reason than payback for Elson.
Don't think I could watch a player for 82+ games a year who flaps his arms like a bird after every big play. This guy is pure .
this tough i wouldnt mind him and gooden in the front court if we dont end up with bourissis
So does anyone think he's the best defender Denver has for Dirk? He seems to be a very intelligent defender, 5x the defender Bonner, Kurt, and Gooden would be if they triple-teamed Dirk all game.
And SOT, any actuall news on Yiannis, or is it still KBP blowing smoke?
