That game last night reminded me of why I hate Padilla on the Rangers.
The game on sunday vs Boston is going to last at least 4 hours with Padilla and Dice K pitching
ok feldmen goes tonight we need 7 from him tonight
lets go get em
Hopefully Hamilton gets back soon...we could really use his bat, as shown last night.

Elvis Andrus is making some flat out sick plays tonight. Holy dude. And CJ Wilson pitched ing awesome.
saw it in the fan commets on there team site and there flag ship station in dallas reported it
also mike taylor said it on stsa
RANGERS WIN!
Frankie shut the door!
we needed this one bad
damn...well...I guess so...whatever they think is best..good win tonight though.
Frankie and CJ pitched great tonight and the yanks!!!
this happens a lot if someone puts a claim on him they can pull him back probly just to see what type of intrest there is in him
yeah..maybe a trade..Taylor bashed him for hitting Tex..
There are a lot of players that were sick of having a target on their backs every time padilla takes the mound and starts drilling people. Wash was sick of it too and for chemistry sake they put him on waivers.
Your not gonna get for Padilla.
You've gotta use the supposed enormous amount of prospects to get anything.
pitching pitching.
Should've gone hardcore after Derek Lowe, would've fit the innings eater AND ground ball pitcher role.
Lowe would have been a great addition. Oh well...team's still looking good though.

NEW YORK -- One day after Vicente Padilla made national headlines by plunking Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira twice, the Rangers apparently took the first step toward parting ways with the veteran right-hander.
Texas has requested outright waivers on Padilla, according to a report by FoxSports.com. The move allows other teams willing to submit a claim on Padilla until noon CT on Friday. That club would absorb his salary of about $8 million.
The decision was not confirmed by the Rangers. Major League rules forbid teams from discussing whether players are or aren't placed on waivers.
Should Padilla go unclaimed, the Rangers would be allowed to attempt to send him to the Minor Leagues. Padilla, 31, would hold the right to refuse the assignment and become a free agent. Eliminating Padilla's salary would potentially allow the Rangers to pursue a major trade later in the season as they continue their playoff push.
Padilla allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Yankees on Tuesday night, making his first start since going on the disabled list with a strained right shoulder in mid-May. After the game, Padilla said he is fully healthy.
The story, however, was not about his performance, but his two pitches that hit Teixeira, once the Rangers' first baseman. Afterward, Teixeira had choice words about Padilla, claiming the right-hander threw at him intentionally. Padilla has a history of throwing at hitters and has hit at least 10 batters in five seasons during his career. He has already plunked seven batters this season.
This year, Padilla is 3-3 with a 5.57 ERA in nine starts.
this is the best part to me
i always thought it was hilarious when Padilla would hit people. he would get them so pissed off and he always had that blank look on his face
but now that we are actually a good team, we need to get rid of him, not only because of what happened yesterday, but quite frankly he's not even that good
Really. You want to talk about 1 non steriod year. Sorry I mean 2 non steriod months in all of Ranger history. Just for the record I would love to see the Rangers do well. But I think it's pretty safe to say the Ranger suck as a franchise. A few years of not sucking will change my mind.
The Teixeira stuff is just an excuse to get Padilla's salary off the books if they can. If he's making $1.2 million this year instead of $12 million, he's not on waivers.
No doubt but add to the fact that his teammates cant stand him its not a hard decision for Nolan and the boys
5-1 lead quickly deteriorated into 6-5 Yanks. Now its tied again. Blechh. I think they can still take this game (and therefore the series) but they sure as aren't going to make it easy.
