that was the dumbest move by van gundy

    he wanted a surprise

doesnt he know players minds are fragile, they need everything to be the same, repe ive, change something and they freak.

dumbest move, its going to cost him the championship

^Thats true. Few people gave them a chance without jameer based on the argument that they only beat us because of jameer. So, if you lost while you passed on a chance to play jameer, you're also an idiot.

Orlando was hitting the jumper in the first quarter and 1/2 then shot bricks the rest of the way. I'm sure it wasn't a Nelson thing but more of a Kobe thing. He started shooting and hitting and got the Lakers going. From then on, Lakers could do no wrong.

they beat the entire east without nelson

nelson was not going to beat the lakers

so why even put him in?

It only caused the players to be confused and insecure.

bench players not knowing now how they will be used or at what times.

    rotations off, etc. etc.

too late to try this .

At least pop and others bring them off the bench and slowly back in.

    A) Jameer playing was the right move.
    B) Jameer playing more than 5 minutes that quarter, or the whole game, was absolutely the wrong move.

ducks ing overlooked the injury nelson suffered and the surgery he underwent, both of which surely lowered his performances under the level he played at before getting injured. Rafer Alston has meshed pretty well with the Magic, but I don't think he is a better fit at PG on Magic team than Nelson is. It's good news Nelson came back for the final series but we cannot expect him to play as he did before the all-star break, he may work as an x-factor though.

Playing Jameer was the right move IMO, he played great the first minutes, he could have created a momentum for the magic but this lakers team was too good.

No. He played well for 5 minutes. After that, he was killing the 3 point shooting rythem of the team. Did you watch the game?

A newly rehabilitated player should never be thrown too much expectation on, the most we can expect from him is just what an x-factor does to his team. He played 5 decent minutes at least, SVG should have subs uted out the moment he noticed the downfall of Nelson.

you save nelson for like a Game 3 surprise when say, you are tied 1-1 and at home, to try to throw the Lakers defensive plans out the window

and only off the bench , with the home crowd behind him to make him a real X factor.

not start him Game 1 and throw your own team off
